First time to HH

The fam and I got back yesterday from spending a couple nights at HH. First time there. We took my Mom and Dad and My brother and his girfriend came done from Tennessee to join us. They really enjoyed it and thanked me several times about inviting them. Once there my wife and I never had to pay for a meal. Cool.

The resort was lovely, I really liked the "woodsy" style of the place. The cm's were great, the pool with that slide was a blast. My boys must have gone down the slide about a million times. The beach house was a blessing to me. I'm born and raised in Florida and I don't really care much for the beach so the beach house once again was a blessing.

Whoever told me to book the BBQ for Tuesday night I have to give a big thanks. The island was crawling with people and trying to get our group in to a restaurant would have been a nightmare.

We had a two bedroom that faced the marshlands and had a decent view of the fireworks. My Mom really wanted to see the fireworks and I am glad we were able to make it happen. My Mother has lung cancer so this trip had some special emphasis.
Like I said it was a great trip and we will definitely will go back. I would like to see HH around Christmas time, I bet it is lovely.

I'm glad you had a great time. We've gone twice now...last year we in fact did see Shadow but this year we did not.

We've already booked for next year a trip in June!

B'Lou is great! What a nice guy! When we went for the first time he was sitting at the lobby entrance with Shadow and it was a great first introduction to the resort! He did a great magic show and was a big hit with the kids and adults! We cant wait for our trip coming up in September!

We took a trip to HH during Spring Break last year and really enjoyed our visit. I am from S.C. and we visited my family for about 5 days and then spent 3 days on our way back to our home in Fla. After our time at HH we wished that we had spent our time the other way around.

Yes Shadow is real. I believe that B'Lou and Shadow are on the front porch most Sunday afternoons to greet folks as they check in. We will definitely be going back and spend more time there.

We did meet him. I believe he was the guy making balloon animals by the pool last Tuesday. When I asked about Shadow we were told that it was too hot for her and that she was staying at her other place. That's why I was beginning to think she wasn't real. Is it true she was a stray and wouldn't leave the resort? If I were a stray dog that's where I would hang out to.

Yes, Shadow is real! We have seen her, but not on our most recent trip in June. But last August we met her with B'lou right at her dog house while we checked in on a Sunday afternoon. My kids were disappointed we didn't see Shadow this past trip.

Glad you had a nice first visit. We love HHI and are already booked for our third week next June!
