Hello! It's the disney newbie again! I plan on calling on Thursday morning at 6am to make reservations for Oct 19-22. I want to try to get the free dining. What do I need to know? What do I need to say?

Is there a "Making Disney Reservations for Dummies" FAQ somewhere?:rotfl:
How about a "Free Dining for Dummies?" FAQ? I tried to look, but sometimes the sheer volume of information in the forums overwhelm me!

Thank you! :worship:

I hope that's CST because I don't think they're open for reservations before 7am EST ;)

Have all your info ready to go...names, ages (for kids), address, phone.
KNOW what your first choice of resort is, and if you have any requests (for example, connecting rooms have a door in between, adjoining do not, you might want to be close to the parking lot, or close to the bus stop.) Limit your requests to no more than three.
For example: "Pop Century - connecting rooms, closest to the parking lot, closest to the bus stop."

Have a back-up plan...what is your second, third, fourth choice of resorts or locations. If they only have preferred rooms left for the sale, do you want to pay more for that, or would you rather stay at another resort in the same price range.

Use the bathroom BEFORE calling! :rotfl:

As long as you are prepared and ready, your end should go smoothly.

Thank you!

That WAS 6am EST. I thought the phone lines opened at 6am and I could make reservations then. YEA! I can sleep later! I just hope my daughter does not wake up early that day bc this is going to be surprise.

Will I need a code? I read something about codes or pin numbers?

I need a fourth choice as well? Oh my! :scared:

USUALLY if you say you are interested in the free dining offer, they will just get if for you. They shouldn't be taken by surprise on that one, as they will have been dealing with the last couple of days of disney visa free dining requests.

Here's some extra pixie dust for both your dd sleeping in and getting your first choice!!! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

THANK YOU! I would LOVE to get a LM room at AoA with FD but I know that is not happening (i am going to ask anyway!) so I am keeping my fingers crossed for POFQ! Next in line is POP, then Caribean Beach.

I will take all of the pixie dust I can get! ;)

All-Star Movies is my kid's favorite resort, even over Pop and Caribbean Beach. It's the most "Disney" of all the resorts - or at least it was until Art of Animation opened :-)
