We just tried the cabins for the first time (we're DVC members) and thought they were fantastic! We have 4 kids and they shared the room with the double bed and the bunk beds and my husband and I had the Murphy bed (which my husband called the "magic bed" because we just folded it up into the wall each day and magically it was made when we came back!).
The attitude and ambiance of the resort was great. Very relaxed and everyone was so nice.
The only downside was the pool. It's nothing special. There are no slides or anything! We ended up visiting a lot of the other pools in Disney which was nice, but I can't believe how boring the pool was.
I'd stay there again, definitely, but I wish Disney would build a better pool.

Glad to see you made it back safe and sound. Hope you had a wonderful trip. I will be leaving in 48 hours for my week of r and r. Anyway, take this for what it is worth, but I heard through the grapevine that the fort will be getting a better pool within the next couple of years. Don't know if they are adding to the existing one or if there is another plan in progress. Heck, I don't even know if it it true, but here's hoping!!
You knew she would tell me.
