My family and I are going to be at Disney (in 18 days!!!) for the first time since 1997. We're staying at POR. Are there any tips or suggestions on things to see/rides to try that were not there in 97?

(I'm 16, my parents are 44, and my brother is 9.)

I've read some guidebooks but I'm looking for some more opinions too. Also, if any of you have any tips on how to best deal with Spring Break crowds :crowded: , please share them. This will be our first time dealing with peak crowds. Thanks again!!!!!

Check out all the new rides that have come in for the Happiest Celebration on Earth. There's a new roller coaster in Animal Kingdom (if you or anyone else in your family like roller coasters) which is great. I got to preview it a few weeks ago.

Are you staying at a Disney Resort? If you are, then take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours, whether its in the morning or evening. The evening tends to be more crowded, but it's usually a little less crowded than the regular park hours. Also use Fastpass every chance you get. It very helpful for the popular rides. And if you don't or can't use Fastpass, think of plenty of games you and your family can play while waiting in line. It'll help pass time quicker.

Have fun!! A lot has been added in 10 years, so everyone will have a great time!! ::MickeyMo

Remember to get ADR's!! Now that the dining plan is so popular it is much harder to get a table when yo "walk up"

Otherwise, have a blast!! 18 days- you'll definitely see it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

I agree getting advanced reservations for sit down meals!!:thumbsup2 Hope you all have a great time. I think you will notice alot of cool and new things to see.
POR is very nice. You can take an evening boat ride to DTD. My boys loved that.
SOARIN at Epcot is a MUST!! That is now our favorite ride. Make sure you go on it early or atleast fastpass it otherwise you might not be able to ride it as its VERY popular. Also Test Track was popular with my kids!!

Enjoy

Thanks all for the tips!!

Luckily, we made our ADRs about 2 weeks ago...almost everything is booked already! We're going to be eating at San Angel Inn, Liberty Tree Tavern, Sci-Fi Dine In Theater, Rainforest Cafe, and Planet Hollywood. We also will be attending the Spirit of Aloha show.
