first time driving in the world!

ok i think we've made our decision on the car. we're going to rent it at the airport and also rent the car seat from alamo. that will make it so much easier than dragging it around the airport.

we will try the buses with the baby and see how it goes. that way if we don't find it easier we will have the car too.

as long as i have a map i can get everywhere.

it's just annoying because in my family i'm the driver and the navigator. DH drives terribly and can't read a map. i should make him learn but after he was literally holding it upside down in rome last year i don't have the patience. so i have to memorize the route before we start driving.

Oh, no! At least he lets you do the navigating...

I am blessed with a DH with a great sense of direction, BUT- the very few times he has gotten lost, he has outright refused to admit it, and refused to let me help. Once, we were trying to get back to Atlanta from the N Ga mountains (we should have been driving due south). DH was going northeast, and wouldn't turn around, even though I kept telling him we were going the wrong way. When I saw a sign that said "North Carolina- 2 miles", I was so mad that he wouldn't just admit he was lost!! We did finally get home that day, and we laugh about it now, but at the time I was about ready to divorce him over it!
