First-time Blizzard Beach questions

We will be making our first trip to Blizzard Beach in May - me, DH, DD6, and DS3. This will be my son's first trip to a water park, but my daughter has been to others before. My question is this. I've noticed on other threads about people talking about getting there early to stake out their chairs. We plan to get there at opening, but in other visits to water parks, we've never used chairs before. We've always put our towels and clothes in a locker and hit the rides. Is there something I'm missing about BB, or would this work here as well? I know I'll probably spend more time with my son at the Little Tike's area, but I just don't see us hanging out at the chairs, unless like I said, I'm missing something here.

Also, are the lockers of the type that you can get things out of them periodically throughout the day, i.e. sunscreen, money, etc.?
And how large are they? Would a very small cooler (6pack) fit in one?

There are two sizes of lockers, a large and small. The large is the size you would want because it would hold a small cooler the size you mentioned and maybe a few other items like clothes and shoes. You are able to go to the locker anytime during the day and as many times as you want. You get a key that will open/lock your locker. You can choose to get back a small refund or get a BB mug when you turn your key in at the end of your day at the water park.

Most people sit in the chairs to rest or use them to hold their things. When my children were smaller, I rented a locker because of the amount of 'stuff' that you need for little ones. Now I just get a chair and put my few belongings on it. I do not leave anything that I would not want taken. That being said, I have never had anything stolen at either BB or TL and we have been many times. I do use the water wallet they sell at the water parks to keep my room key, tickets, and money in.

There are many rides that your children will be too small to go on at BB, but they have a special area just for their size. There is also the wave pool that has small waves where your two children could play. You will have a wonderful time!
