First time at AKL - LOVED it!

I just finished a three night stay at AKL. First time at a deluxe resort for me and I must say - I LOVED AKL!!!

I was looking into dvc before and let's just say dvc is definitely something I want to do now!!

Things I really appreciated about AKL -
the quality of the resort - top notch - the details - well thought out and creatively executed - the music - loved the ambiance - the pool - large and relaxing - the animals - everywhere and easily seen from many places - the cultural activities - just a lovely enriching time!

Can't wait to try some more deluxe resorts now!

Plus to top it all off - I booked a standard view room and received a savannah bunk bed room on kudu trail!! Yay!! Pixie dust!

Yay another AKL lover!! So glad you got an upgrade too! AKL is my favorite resort...the ambiance alone keeps me going. It's so peaceful and relaxing yet there's so many stimulating things. I can't say enough great things about that resort!

I Love AKL also! Our first deluxe stay was at WL and within a month from returning home we purchased DVC! I adore the deluxe resorts too much to not stay there every time now

DW and I are so excited. After forty years of visiting WDW (yes we have been going from the beginning) this will be our first stay at a deluxe. Usually we are a party of 12, including the kids and grandkids, and stay at Disney Budget resorts or at non-Disney's, for the price. As a birthday present for DW, I made this trip special by staying at AKL. Of course, I have my own selfish motives for staying there too, but it makes a great birthday present.

We dine at Boma every time we are at WDW and I can't believe that this time we will not have to leave the property after dinner. We may just sit in that beautiful lobby and watch the world go by.

I have to warn you it will be hard to stay anywhere else after this. I'm having a REALLY hard time picking a resort for our next stay in 2014. I want to stay at lots of other resorts, but I also want to experience the wonderful feel of AKL again too.

That's so sweet!! I hope you guys have a great trip! There are so many great viewing areas that (as I'm sure you know) you'll definitely have plenty of beautiful sights to see as the world goes by!

That's awesome! We booked pool view this time around but I'm hoping for some luck to get a savanna upgrade!

I know what you mean, my goal is to stay at every WDW before I die, but it's just so hard to say no to AKL and stay somewhere else. We stayed at POP 2 years ago and we just can't do it again...especially after AKL!

When are you going on vacation? The rides to the other parks aren't terrible...certainly not enough to sway me from staying there. Depending on the time of year you go it might be even less of a wait for a bus.
