Sounds good... will look forward to hearing from you.

So, Webster, have you pressed the submit button yet? You should definitely do something for yourself! I'm celebrating my 45th birthday by doing a solo trip to disney next week! I highly recommend solo trips even though family trips are great, too!

NO !!! I'm sitting here right now trying to get the nerve to commit! When I'm at work and don't have access to a computer I'm SOOOO brave.... I'm going to do it as soon as I get home... then panic strikes and I don't . I'm really going to try to do it when I log out of here tonight! Wish me luck!

so what was the outcome??????

Well, I booked my airfare - which was a pretty good deal . Now I just have to confirm the reservation being held for me before May 5. Which I will do since I have the plane ticket. I have to be honest , I decided to go for it because my daughter came home with a tatoo. That in itself is fine, but she had her dad, my ex , take her before we had finished talking about it. At that point I decided just do it! I'm the disciplinarian and he's the good guy. So I figured I earned a little time for me. Maybe that sounds childish but sometimes I get tired of always being responsible for everyone and every thing. So that will be my break - to be the "kid" again.

Its okay to run away from home sometimes!!! That is great that you did it. So when are you going?? I missed part of the conversation

webster76 I understand your reasoning and I think this trip will give you a much needed break. You will be amazed at how you come home ready for anything! Don't feel guilty, enjoy and learn!:goodvibes

Hey ! I'm going down Sept.18-21. My birthday is actually the 29th but the dining plan only goes til the 20th. I really am looking forward to going, too. I still can't imagine going without my kids but I am excited. My younger son (22yr old) was really surprised to hear I was going alone. He graduates next week from I.U./Bloomington with a musical theatre degree and is heading out to LA. He says when he gets settled I should come out and go to DisneyLand again. Which I most likely will!

Just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed talking with everyone since I accidently found this site a few days ago. My kids sometimes think I'm a bit crazy because I'm always wanting to go back to WDW. Of course when I'm paying the way they are more than happy to go. Any way, thanks for all the encouraging messages!!!

I think you definitely should take him up on that!!! And how proud you must be of his graduation!!! You got him through it!!! Another reason to go to WDW!!!

Question... how do I add the count down for my trip. I love all the things on your replies.( Suffice it to say, I am not very good with a computer!

I just did my first solo trip and just got back home from it and had a super time at WDW. I agree with everyone, it was nice to do what I wanted, when I wanted to at each of the parks and be totally flexible. I went April 19th to the 25th and did not have any problems with anything. It was a little getting used to the transportation system and how to get places. I also enjoyed using the dining plan and keeping track of that. I had just enough credits on the MYW plus dining for my week but if I did it again, I will probably opt for the deluxe dining package because I ran short on TS credits and had to use the QS credits for evening meals.

There are 3 that I use... the first is because it uses less space and try to show more of my signature (as there is a limit) BUT every so often... it will not work.. I just wait (leaving it as is) and then it works. The second is new one that I came across and the 3rd is the one I have used the most originally. You create it, then copy and past into your signature.

Why on earth is your son going to LA with a musical theatre degree? :scared1: I work in Musical theatre (I am an SM). Please don't tell me he wants to work in TV and movies. Heck, he has some great musical theatre right here in St. Louis - STAGES for one.

Yes !!! He was with the Muny as a Muny kid and Muny teen from the 5th grade through high school. He was in "BiG" at Stages several years ago. At Indiana Univ. he was in "Pal Joey" freshman year; he was Bobby in "Rent" and in Dec. before he graduated he wrote and choreographed a musical as his senior project , "OC-Outta Context- The Musical. He is an outstanding dancer and I HATE to see him waste such a talent. He went to NY in Feb to audition for Disney's "Peter Pan" on one of their cruises. He didn't make it but liked the experience of the audition. In fact when he came home he said he was definitely moving to Chicago (as NY is so expensive - like LA isn't!) But it's his life and he needs to make his own decisions, I guess! His teachers, etc. thinks he's crazy too. But I'm just the mother... what do I know. But he's young, I guess he has his whole life. I'd love to chat sometime about solo Disney and what you think about Zach's decision. (Yes he does think he wants to do films!
