"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

Sorry Lurker here. :rolleyes1 Was just trying to catch up and I'm all caught up now. The conversation between the CM and Adam was hillarious.. sounds like my nieces and nephews. :lmao:

Most conversations with Adam start out like that. He doesn't pay attention to much.

I'm marking your comments down in my head about Backlot Tour... I am still on the fence about it...

Great Pictures :)

Apparently the pre-show is good, so perhaps if we had seen that it would have moved up to ok for us?

Hey Michelle! Ow, I've heard that those kidney stones are painful. When I was pregnant with my son he was lying on my ureter(sp?) and the pain was so severe I almost would have prefered labor! Hopefully it won't take another hospital visit to convince your DH to drink more water, but maybe that will work better than nagging. You know, treat him like we treat our kids, natural consequences and all.:thumbsup2 Note to self: Skip the backlot tour.

No water yet and it's almost noon.

Michelle, it took me a little while but I'm all caught up now! Not being able to visit the Dis on my lunch break is definitely taking its toll! ::yes::

Sorry to hear about David, but I am happy he is feeling better. I agree about the backlot tour. It was pretty disappointing. We did it once and said, never again! :(

Of course there is plenty that we still love! :lovestruc

Great updates!

The stuff we loved at DHS is coming up later.

;) You live in the desert part of Washington. Is it very hot over there right now?

My parents and the kids are heading over to Lake Chelan in a couple weeks.

It's been in the 80's here lately, so pretty mild. Lake Chelan is really pretty! Nothing like here!

There is a place in Washington State that it doesn't rain all the time?? WHO KNEW!
My uncle Lived in Seattle for the last maybe 10 years. His new address is on a boat somewhere I think in the pacific, he and his wife are sailing around the world! They have hit rain storms that they wished that they were back in Seattle's rain.!

just letting you know i am here, i am using hte updates on page 1 to try and catch up..i think i am almost to the TR part.

There is a whole half of the state that it doesn't rain all the time. See the mountain ranges that divide the state tend to keep all the rain in Western Washington and Eastern Washington is much drier and has more temperature extremes. They get the really cold snowy winters, and the really hot, hot summers. My side gets more rain, but has milder temperatures all year. I think this side is prettier, but I'm biased. ;)

Glad you are here. :goodvibes

Sorry, I fell behind...busy with work. The backlot tour is pretty lame...but I do like the water part where it comes rushing at the truck.

okay just got done with everything and have to say i am really enjoying your report...

now sincei just read the updates, i am not sure if someone answered this before or not, but the backlot tour used to be really good.

if i remeber right, i think it actually started where the animation academy was and you would go by an area where they used to make the topiary figurs and showed how they scalpted them there was also a street that had tons of house fronts on it that they would use for the outside shots of shows...i belive that used to be where the back building for the aerosmith ride was, there were also a few more buildings that you would drive through..

but when they started to add things on, they would just move stuff and make it shorter and shorter...

also where walts dream and the toy story mania and narnia is, there used to be a really good walking tour that you could even watch a real game show being filmed and there was about 2 or 3 other places that you would go in and watch stuff about filming, now they dont have those anymore.

okay that is it for now, just waiting for the next update.

Apparently the Backlot Tour is suffering because of DHS expansions. Perhaps they will update or do away with it eventually.

The next update is coming later today. I have to scan a couple things for the next chapter.

Seriously good update, as always! ::yes:: I was looking forward to the Backlot Tour (the only other time I've been to WDW - many many moons ago - I do remember seeing the Golden Girls' house too LOL!), but I think we may just skip it now :worried:

Looking forward to your next update! popcorn::

OT, which MasterPark lot did you choose to park in? There are 4 listed on their site and I'm trying to make a decent plan (for my "must know everything in advance" 9yo son). Merci beaucoup! :thumbsup2

we might skip the backlot now too. I can't believe it's gotten so short. I am disappointed that the whole place is no longer a working studio. Is that ABC's impact?

:headache: I thought I had replied to your last update and then realized I hadn't! I TOTALLY agree about the backlot tour! A complete waste of space now! It used to be better, the Golden Girls house was back there and other "fun" props but the got moved, to make room for LMA:confused3

It's not like we are on the streets or anything, but we are in between homes right now.

We just had the old septic system for the old house pumped, it's getting crushed tomorrow. So no water = no staying there anymore. The new septic system for the new house gets it's inspection tomorrow, along with the fire inspection, and hopefully the building inspection. Once all those are checked off, then we can move into the new house.

Luckily my parents are on vacation so we are at their house and not on the streets. Ok we still wouldn't be on the streets, we do have a Toy Hauler we could stay in.

Let's just hope that all the inspections go fine and we can move into the new house this weekend!

P.S. I'll be typing up the next chapter tonight, I have it all ready to go.
