"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

You obviously picked a heck of alot better seat than we did!

I'm glad we weren't the only ones who had a hard time finding the entrance. I find it rather ironic that they can't do the water stunt show if it's raining!:rotfl2:

:lmao: I know I looked at your pictures of wet butts and was relieved we didn't experience that.

I also find it ironic that rain means no water stunt.

Im late for the party, but I just found ya! I just finished page....1! LOL:rotfl2: Im ready for the rest...your kids sure are lookers! you must be such a proud mama!;)

:welcome: I'm glad you found me. Thank you, I am a proud mama!

Gosh, that was kind of lame. I'm sorry it was so disappointing. I remember going to Universal (CA) when I was about 10 and going on their tour. They had the huge boulders rolling down the hill at the tram like on the Six Million Dollar Man (dating myself there! ), and the parting of the Red Sea and Jaws. Oh, and the spooky "Psycho" house up on the hill.

I don't remember the Psycho house, maybe it's not there anymore?

My exciting morning or why I'm so tired!

David woke me up at 2am because he was having severe abdominal pain. I took him to the ER and 3 hours later they confirmed that he had a kidney stone. It's a small one and has already passed to his bladder. He doesn't have anymore forming, so that's good. He of course if off to bed asleep and I'm wide awake. I think this is going to be a long day.

So sorry to hear about David -- glad it was only a kidney stone and not something more severe! Do they give anything to break it down at all before it passes out???

Update- I actually went to bed after posting that so I've had some sleep now.

The stone was only 3mm and there were not any others forming. It had just passed into his bladder when he had the ct scan taken. The doctor said IF he even notices it pass out it will look like a grain of sand.

David is suppose to drink a lot more water. Since he doesn't drink any, even some will seem like a lot to him.

I will look up the lemon water. The doctor didn't say anything about cranberry juice. She also didn't say he needs to change his diet except to avoid dark liquids like coffee, tea, and cola.

I realize 3 hours from leaving our house to be homing is not long at all for an ER visit. We live in a small town, and no one else was in the ER but us.

Oh man, the tour does sounds kind of lame. I bet our kids will really think so. I think I'll move it way down the priority list. Bummer because I think it could be really, really cool!

I have to agree with you about the Universal Studios backlot tour being alot better. The only reason why we keep going to the one at HS is because of the show before hand. Last summer my mom and I were actually picked to be in it. It was so much fun. Here are some pictures from that.

It could be, but it's not.

That's the part we didn't get to see.

Thank God he's Okay!!! How scary, waking up in the middle of the night like that!

He's gonna have to drink lots of water from now on.

Yes he is and he's not doing it.

Tell him to trust me, if the doctor says to drink lots of water, you best do it, or you will be back at the ER. I didn't have kidney stones, but I did have surgery on my throat a year or so ago. I was in so much pain that I couldn't drink water like the doctor told me. I got dehydrated and had to go back for another overnight visit. Not the same thing but boy they sure know what they are talking about.

And the next one may not be so small, and from what I have heard it is a horrible pain to deal with. I'm sure he wouldn't want to pass one bigger.

:lmao:

Oh parts of the Universal tour are lame too, especially Jaws, but seeing the movie and tv sets was fantastic. We loved seeing construction workers napping on one of the benches on a porch on Wisteria Lane (Desperate Housewives) There was just so much more to the Universal tour.

Wow, when we went on the universal tour we didn't see much of anything like that, just the war of the worlds set. I think it was because they were using most of the tv sets that day. Now i can see why you would like universal better.

I'm glad your dh is doing better! I've heard some real horror stories about kidney stones. Some men claim it's worse than labor pains...........but I'm not so sure if it's THAT bad!;)
It's amazing that a grain of sand can cause that much pain. thank heavens for pain killers!

He decided Sprite was just about the same as water so that's what he is drinking.:confused3

Our tour was really long, I think in part because they weren't filming anything at the time we were there. The War of the Worlds set was eerie.

Yep, he's on percocet now.

 So glad David's okay! Why don't husbands take care of themselves like they ought to? I just told my DH today that he needed a week of detox off of junk food/ fried food and I wouldn't have to be at CVS tonight buying a box of Prilosec! Yeah, he doesn't drink enough water either.

I did almost have to laugh a little at your sleep-deprived post that said the kidney stone was just 3 cm--I thought, oh, my that's more than an inch!!! Then in the next post, you said 3mm and I thought, whew!

Go to bed early tonight, you guys!
