"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

Did you have ice cream for breakfast?

Unfortunately no, because I recently discovered I'm lactose intolerant! I threw caution to the wind on Mother's Day and enjoyed an ice cream cone and spent all day Monday curled up in a ball on the couch. Sigh. So I guess I'll just drool over the pictures on the computer monitor instead and have a pity party for myself that there's no way Jose that I'll be having a No Way Jose in August!

OK totally dying for a sundae now! Suddenly my yogurt just isn't cutting it! LOVE the pics. of you guys on the bike...HOW FUN! I LOL about the jogger pushing you! Soooo funny! I agree the boardwalk area is gorgeous! I LOVE Daisy with her book!

It was fun to take in the sights from the vantage point of the bike. It also was a lot of work too! There are two hills along the loop and David had to do most of the work for those. On the second time around half way up the second hill Aunt Pat said "Where's Lance Armstrong when you need him?"

We heard "Right here." and we felt a surge from the back.

One of the many joggers in the area had heard her and taken that moment to start pushing us up the hill. It was both startling and hysterical at the same time. Once we were at the top of the hill we thanked him and he jogged away. We finished up the second loop and our legs thanked us for turning the bike back in.

Ok, that's my favorite bit so far!!!

I've never tried one of those surrey bikes - they have them at the forest preserve near us (it's a rather glorified forest preserve). Not sure if I will...

But, that ice cream sure looks yummy!!!

Frozen Sunshine - orange sherbet, vanilla ice cream and seltzer, blended to perfection, topped with whipped cream, and a candied orange slice.

Beaches and Cream looks delish! What a fun spot to visit! Putting it on the future trip list! Did you see anyone get the Kitchen Sink while you were there? If so, how huge is it?

We went to see Indian Jones 4 this afternoon, I'm not sure how I feel about this movie just yet. Then we had my new nephew's dedication this evening. Not sure how I felt about that either.

It took me a few days for the movie to really grow on me. You were probably bothered by the same things that bothered me!

WE have Beaches & Cream on our list fro August. What time of day did you get there? I have heard the wait can be long if you go at prime time. I was thinking of trying to do a late lunch early dinner and getting there for 3:00 or so. What do you think?
