"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

I HATE trying to get into those lazy river inner tubes while trying to keep my swimsuit in a family-friendly position!

Therefore, i avoid the lazy river.

A who can walk the slowest contest! :lmao:

The water was a little chilly but we all grabbed and inner tube and went for it. Almost immediately we all got separated. The boys sped off ahead, while Aunt Pat lagged behind. Daisy and I tried to keep up with the boys, but eventually we got separated as well. David tried to hang back with Aunt Pat but that didn't really work out either.

The Lazy River was a bit of a bust for me. Attempting to hoist myself into a flattering, yet comfortable floating down the river position on an inner tube made me feel much less than graceful, to say the least. Plus I didn't really like floating around all by myself. I think if you could float along the Lazy River in one of those big family rafts that would be more fun.

I was glad to see the kids waiting at the exit steps after one full loop, and we hung out right there until David and Aunt Pat caught up with us again. Once we were all gathered together we decided it was time for some water slides.

This reminded me of my hooty hoist into one of those inner tubes.........water had to have been in 60s (I called the park before going and they said it was in 80s:sad2:  ) DH and I were laughing so hard trying to get me into one of those tubes and lifeguards are staring at us while wearing parkas........it was cold. They were probably thinking.....dumb Canadians:rolleyes1

I love the 'Who can walk the slowest' contest! :rotfl:

We want to do the waterparks too, DH would just love it...but with a baby...not so realistic! We have to wait until he's a bit older to really enjoy it and hit the waterslides!

:lmao: "hooty hoist" Yes the tubes would be quite so humiliating if there were no lifeguards silently watching.

There is a little kid portion of the water park, but not having wee ones anymore I didn't pay much attention to it.

Buzz likes sleep.

So it is apparent from your Disneyland trip. Of course the wine probably has nothing to do with it. ;)

Yeay! Typhoon Lagoon!

I am storing away the "who can walk the slowest" game for moments when we might need it! :thumbsup2

The Lazy River was not what I envisioned either -- getting into the inner tube was very awkward for me, too. Not one of my more graceful moments!

The pictures are great! Can't wait to see the Photopass ones!

Oh I just love Aunt Pat's contest! That's too funny! Was a winner ever crowned?
I sometimes play my own variation of that game with my students---Who can be the quietest? Who can sit down in their chair and stay there for the hour? Who can NOT give Mrs. BrittBritt a headache for the day? :goodvibes

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My classroom plays these games daily. Right now the popular one in the 8th grade is, "Who can refrain from saying something completely inappropriate???" 8th graders :sad2: .

Just 23 more school days for me! :woohoo:

33 more school days for me.

8th graders in the spring are the worst though. :scared1: My 6th graders aren't so bad yet.

My 6th graders and 7th graders aren't giving me a headache so far (it will come as we get closer, I know). My 8th graders are still pretty good except for a couple that could go ahead and move on to high school (I would be so okay with that).

I just change my Disney desktop background each day at school and think serene Disney thoughts. :goodvibes :rotfl:
