"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

It sounds like a lovely relaxing evening, I am glad you didn't let the rude people get to you.

The Kiss Goodnight sounds lovely, maybe I will get to see it this year.
:scratchin

Great update! I love the churro pic. :goodvibes And my jaw dropped when I read about the woman with the stroller! Wow. I'm sure you are right though, she probably had a whole day of people jumping in front of her and she was frustrated and tired...but still...I hope I can keep my cool with the stroller in November!

Yummm This looks good! Anything with sunshine in the name sounds great to me!
Daisy got Frozen Sunshine that looked so good!

When we last ate at Beaches N Cream in 1997, the No Way Jose was so big that 7 of us couldn't finish it together, and the Kitchen Sink had 25 scoops of ice cream!

And my No Way Jose.

We saw they had a bike for six people and the kids really wanted to do it, so we decided to try it. As it turned out the group right before us rented both of the six person bikes that they had sitting there, so we thought we were out of luck. The CM said he would go check the warehouse since he knew that they had another one that was being fixed that morning and it might be ready. He came back shortly with the six person bike. We arranged ourselves on it and we were off for our two laps around the boardwalk area.

Some of the views around there are breath taking.

How fun! Funny story about the jogger pushing you! :lmao:
It was fun to take in the sights from the vantage point of the bike. It also was a lot of work too! There are two hills along the loop and David had to do most of the work for those. On the second time around half way up the second hill Aunt Pat said "Where's Lance Armstrong when you need him?"

We heard "Right here." and we felt a surge from the back.

One of the many joggers in the area had heard her and taken that moment to start pushing us up the hill. It was both startling and hysterical at the same time. Once we were at the top of the hill we thanked him and he jogged away. We finished up the second loop and our legs thanked us for turning the bike back in.

Fun update! I too had a book in my hand at all times when I was Daisy's age! That's probably why she won the award - and congrats to her, by the way!

what is the kiss goodnight? I've never heard anything about it before!

It's amazing how some people think of strollers, wheelchairs and ecv's as battering rams! On the other hand, as one who's been in a wheelchair, it's amazing how many people jump right infront of you and just expect you to stop. I guess some people are just oblivious to everyone else.

I was just discussing that with my DDIL, who is a stroller mom. She said sometimes she finds that a wheel gets stuck, and you are concentrating on getting unstuck and someone steps right in front of you and "oops, sorry!" I have had one person step in front of me, move the front of the stroller to miss them and someone on the other side was stepping front, and they get bumped. I know some people do use strollers as battering rams, but I think sometimes they get so overwhelmed by the crowd and feel like they are expected to just stand there while everyone else in the park walks in front of them :) I don't think that's an excuse to me outright rude, though!

Now, as for ECVs, I'm sure it's kind of the same, but they run over you, too! I truly think that with so many of them in the park along with the strollers, there should be a "wheels lane" or a "speed walker" lane for those who are on a commando style vacation! :rotfl2:

I like the texture of Gummi Bears....mmm...I may have to run out to 7/11 to get some.......

Did you enjoy your time on the Boardwalk? How about Beaches N Cream? Did you all finish your ice cream?

While you're out, could you pick up some M&Ms for me?

Do you normally sneak in without paying?:lmao:

:rotfl2: That made me laugh out loud for some reason! I could picture Jordan filing in with a group of peeps and sleeping in the hall! :rotfl2:

:lmao: I think so too. I do think that is when most of the rude behavior happens, when people are in a hurry to get somewhere and they are concentrating so hard on where they need to be they just get selfish.

Hey Chel :)

Great pictures...

I am with you on the strollers... but on the other side of the fence as a stroller mom myself (not a crazy run folks over one) I have experienced alot of the opposite... folks purposly pretending they dont see us... one guy literally jumped in front of our stroller and bumped us last year....

Good to year you had a lovely meal again at Tony's :)

The fountain is Cinderella silly... I"m surprised nobody else caught that :confused3

Wonderful chapter... The kiss goodnight sounds lovely... We are never there that late... maybe this year eh...

So it is, I went and looked at my picture. I thought it was Belle from the opening scene of Beauty and the Beast, but I see now that it is Cinderella. :goodvibes I didn't ever look at it to closely I just thought it was pretty.

you seem to have had another great night at MK other than rude family, but you always get one that thinks the announcements dont apply to them.:confused3

Daisy reminds me of my sister, she doesnt go anywhere without a book in her bag and whenever there is a downsecond she whips it out and sneaks in a few pages!

I just know because it's my fave fountain in the whole wide world hehe :) I could see how she kinda looks like belle ... especially at night....::yes::

I just found your report today and have read the entire thing thanks to your handy little links. What a great trip so far! You have a lovely family and I can't wait to read more. I love the outfits!

My brain just automatically went to Belle walking along at the start of the movie, I don't know why? It's a beautiful fountain!

Welcome! :flower3: Thanks so much for reading!

Couldn't you relax at the resort during the day and just go to DHS for Fantasmic? Is it possible to see it on a night that there are two shows? The second show you don't have to line up very early for.

Yeah, it's not such a big deal--he just messed with my Spectro night! We're going the week of Dec. 14th and there's only two nights of Spectro and Wishes that week. And you know if you're going to DS for Fantasmic, you might as well go early enough to see the Osborne lights before hand, and might as well ride RNRC before that... :rotfl: I'm already thinking maybe just mosey around Boardwalk and see BC/YC decorations then go to DHS.

Wow that's tough to have to give up Spectro. Though while I love Spectro I think Fantasmic is better night time entertainment!

We've never seen Spectro at all, and haven't seen Fantasmic in two years, so I'm sure we'll enjoy either. At first I thought I had a great idea to just see Fantasmic and Osbourne Lights the night we arrive, until I realize it's the night they close the park for the Pop Warner kids! :headache:

I should probably start a pre-trippie just so I could muse out loud over things constantly....

Stroller assassins... I love that term. DD and I were nearly attacked by them last year. They're brutal... with deadly aim~

We need this ::cop: for them.

Yes, I agree. The Stroller Assassins, SA if you will, are the very reason I cannot ever convince my BF to bring her family down to WDW for a grand gathering... She came with us when my DD was 5 and she was completely scarred, siting 'moms armed with strollers' as the reason she would not go back!

Wow!! I was gone for a few days and missed 3 installments, Adam's Birthday and Daisys Daisy nomination to attend the National Young Leaders State Conference!!! Totally amazing!! You must be so very proud of her. My daughter attended when she was in jr. high school and LOVED it!
Really loved the pictures, wonderful as usual! I'm so happy your day turned out so well and I am glad you got an ADR at Tonys at the last min. Too cool!!!
Looking forward to more!

Great update! Stroller Assassins! Sounds funny but hurts the legs, I'd think :rotfl2: We won't have a stroller when we go (our boys will be 9yo and 6yo at the time), but I spent most of my adult working life in office buildings downtown - I'm well-versed in how to maneuver through crowds! My mom is the queen though - we call her the linebacker :rotfl: She does it in a way that puts nobody at risk of injury though LOL

Ah, churros. I keep hearing about churros. What exactly is a churro? That's not something we see regularly around here :confused3

A belated happy birthday to Adam and a belated congratulations to Daisy - very exciting times at your house :goodvibes

Daisy reading a book whenever possible is definitely reminding me of me - still, to this day :lmao: She's a smart cookie :thumbsup2
