I woke up at 8:30am and made the horrific discovery that not only were the bottoms of my feet throbbing and tender, but I had a huge, I mean massive, blister on the bottom of my left foot. Not the best condition to be in for walking around World Showcase! I took some ibuprofin, bandaged up my foot and hoped for the best.
At 9am I woke everyone else up so we could get ready for our day. Daisy and I had assigned red, white, and bright blue outfits for today. All three kids had jeans shorts on. Daisy wore a bright blue with white polka dots cami tank top and a bright blue, short sleeved, zip up sweater. Joey's polo shirt was wide red and white stripes with a thin bright blue stripe. Adam's polo shirt was bright blue with a wide white stripe and wide red stripe across the chest.
Aunt Pat and I both wore denim capris. Aunt Pat's knit shirt was red and white stripes. I wore a solid red polo shirt. David put on jeans shorts and a black t-shirt.
While getting dressed David mentioned DVC perks. I had deliberately not mentioned DVC or watched the DVC informercial because I didn't want him to think I was pressuring him, but if he was going to bring it up....
After everyone was dressed we finally had a chance to eat David's birthday cake from Crystal Palace.
Yes it is ok to have cake for breakfast when you are on vacation. The cake was absolutely delicious! Once we had all eaten enough cake to get us through the morning we headed to the bus stop.
I had to put David in charge of sunscreen for the boys. I got tired of arguing with them about what they would easily comply with for their dad. So while we waited for the bus he slathered them up with the lotion.
We rode the bus around to the lobby.
I needed to fix our dinner ADR at Garden Grill. It was the 4th and last ADR that was under our phone number but someone else's name. It was easy enough to fix and then we went out to the bus stop once again to catch the bus to Epcot.
As we walked through Future World we stopped at The Land and I ran in and grabbed Fast Passes for Soarin. Actually I didn't run because my feet hurt, but I tried to walk quickly. Once I had secured the Fast Passes we continued on our way into World Showcase. We walked over to Norway and found the restrooms by the viking ship. After the rest room visits I took the kids picture in front of the viking ship.
Then we went out to the walkway to wait for World Showcase to open.
***** EDITING ***** I must confess. Upon looking at the Photopass pictures I realize that we must have taken those shots on our way out not on our way in. *sigh* So I've removed them and I will put them where they properly belong. With my sore feet and drinks around the world this days is a little fuzzy!
I will ask her when she wakes up.
