"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

The POFQ and POR both look amazing. So I would go with either of these resorts.

If you choose the Swan and use your teacher discount, you'll be able to stay at a deluxe for much less money. I do agree that no dining is a drawback. Also remember no Magical Express.

We didn't us ME for our last trip so that part would be ok with me. However I think one of the selling points for DH might be that we would go during Free Dining, if it's offered again of course. I don't know though. The Swan is gorgeous and the boardwalk area is fabulous.

Old Key West! Aren't the rooms slightly bigger there? I also love the beachy feel.

And lucky you...going for a 15 year anniversary! Keep your fingers crossed! :goodvibes

POR or POFQ if you go mod with dining plan.

If no dining plan, I'd go for the Swan. I am getting spoiled with all the swanky places they let me stay for work conferences. I think they will have one of those serenity beds or whatever they call it. Plus lots of things in walking distance.

Well that's not much help! :lmao: I was just looking at pictures of the pool area at The Swan, so gorgeous. Plus you are on the boardwalk.

I second that!!
:goodvibes Thank you.

Casting my vote: POFQ with the dining plan, a king-sized bed, and a water view (request that your water view be of the river).

What fun!!!

Would you consider a split stay? Then you can try two resorts.

Michelle,

Hi! I just jumped on to your TR from a link on another TR I was reading. I'm WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY back on page 25. :rotfl2: I jumped ahead to the end to see how far it was and WOW 160 pages. :lmao: I'll get there! In "my world" you have just arrived at the CSR!

Loving it so far. The training was hilarious. I took my kids for a walk here in Phoenix this morning because it was humid for us and told them it was to prepare for WDW. We are talking DESERT humidity here so it wasn't Florida bad. I might have to incorporate some of your ideas into the training as drudging through our neighborhood streets was NOT FUN for them! :lmao:

I'm glad the margarita at the pool made you feel better. I've taken a red eye several times to Orlando and I know it can knock you out. I can't sleep on the plane either so I sympathize with you. And lets face it as with most families, when mama isn't happy, nobody is happy! :lmao:

Good plan about doing the pool thing instead of the parks first though. I'm always wanting to go to the parks too but its usually a bad idea when you are so tired from traveling.

Can't wait to read more! :thumbsup2

I'll remember to request a river water view if we end up there.

Happy almost 14th anniversary this year! :goodvibes

Thank you!

I don't think I could do a split stay. I like having a "home" to much to want to pack up and move during my vacation.

:welcome: Glad you found me. I can imagine that walking around in Phoenix heat would not be fun. Give them some rollercoaster training, or how about practice eating Mickey Bars! ;)

Um.....can I come live with you?

The house is like I said before "Extreme Home Makeover" beautiful at the very least and definitely could be photographed for a magazine.

The Brown Derby looked sooo nice!!!

Your house is just gorgeous!!!:thumbsup2

I just had to comment here as I'm reading somewhere around page 39.

My husband has to go to the bathroom ALL the time too. It drives me nuts. At DL (where we usually go) He pees in the hotel, then we enter the gate before rope drop and he pees at the restroom by Carnation Cafe. Then he gets coffee and has to pee just as the rope is dropped!:scared1: Everyone is hearding into the park and dh is leisurely walking BACK to the one by the Carnation Cafe, at this point I'm usually yelling at him to pee in Tomorrowland. :sad2: We'll ride Buzz, he'll have to walk back to Market House and get a refill on coffee and then pee again. :sad1: Then we head to ride SM and get fastpasses and he will pee as soon as we are off and getting in line for autopia. :sad1: Then more coffee, a ride, pee before standing in line, a ride, coffee, pee, ride, pee, line, pee. UGH! :rolleyes1

I swear this ritual wastes more time. I get so annoyed. He calls me the Pee Nazi. The schedule of rides may change each time but the pee schedule never does. This happens all day..:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

OK, maybe I inserted an extra pee break in there for dramatic effect but you get the picture! :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :rotfl2:

So Happy to see others get annoyed at their husbands urinary habits! :rotfl:

I read the whole post and others replies to dh and he said we were all PEE NAZI's. :rotfl:

This is my one and only visit here today, until I finish the next chapter. That is my rule, I'm not allowing myself back on the Dis until I get it written!
