"You think the only people who are people, are the people who look and think like you. But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger, you'll learn things you never knew you never knew."- Pocahontas

I woke up at 5:45am, just a little before the wake up call at 6am. I reset the wake up call for 6:45am so the kids could listen to it before we left. I then took my shower, got dressed and got the kids and David up and going.
Our outfits for the day had us all dressed in shades of brown and black, appropriate for another day at Animal Kingdom. We headed for to the bus stop while it was still a bit dark out just before 7am.
Everyone was in high spirits at the bus stop.
We were the only ones on the bus and the first ones at the park that morning. While Aunt Pat went to get her and I real coffee at the stand outside the AK gates I took pictures of the kids messing around in the empty courtyard.
We lined up at the gate marked for early breakfast ADRs to wait. Daisy immediately pulled out her book and started reading.
David wandered around the empty courtyard a bit.
Adam watched the CM get the ticket scanner ready for the day.
Soon a Tusker House Cm came down with a clip board and a list of names and we were let into the park.
It was amazing walking through the empty park by ourselves. I can totally see why people covet those pre-park opening ADRs. Animal Kingdom is gorgeous and I took several pictures on the walk in.
We checked in at the podium and then sat at one of the tables outside to wait. Right above us was a bird in a nest, which felt like the perfect preview for our day in the Animal Kingdom.
