"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

This is my one and only visit here today, until I finish the next chapter. That is my rule, I'm not allowing myself back on the Dis until I get it written!

Don't punish yourself :lmao:

Can't wait to read your next update. I love your dining reviews. They've been very helpful.

I will not comment on any anniv. plans because yeah... but hey missy where is a new chapter?! I need some sort of distraction from my mess of a life... Get going already! ;)

Saturday March 15, 2008

I woke up at 5:45am, just a little before the wake up call at 6am. I reset the wake up call for 6:45am so the kids could listen to it before we left. I then took my shower, got dressed and got the kids and David up and going.

Our outfits for the day had us all dressed in shades of brown and black, appropriate for another day at Animal Kingdom. We headed for to the bus stop while it was still a bit dark out just before 7am.

Everyone was in high spirits at the bus stop.

We were the only ones on the bus and the first ones at the park that morning. While Aunt Pat went to get her and I real coffee at the stand outside the AK gates I took pictures of the kids messing around in the empty courtyard.

We lined up at the gate marked for early breakfast ADRs to wait. Daisy immediately pulled out her book and started reading.

David wandered around the empty courtyard a bit.

Adam watched the CM get the ticket scanner ready for the day.

Soon a Tusker House Cm came down with a clip board and a list of names and we were let into the park.

It was amazing walking through the empty park by ourselves. I can totally see why people covet those pre-park opening ADRs. Animal Kingdom is gorgeous and I took several pictures on the walk in.

We checked in at the podium and then sat at one of the tables outside to wait. Right above us was a bird in a nest, which felt like the perfect preview for our day in the Animal Kingdom.

There really is nothing like getting into the parks early!
Great pictures!

What a great way to start the day...

What beautiful pix of AK in the AM....something I'll probably never see, as I see the other side of WDW...the late nights...;)

I like the late night pictures, but the people you meet frighten me a little! :rotfl2:

i cant wait to read how your tusker breakfast went, i just changed my ADRs around yesterday so i could go to tusker house 8:15am woohoo! before the parks open! i too cant wait to walk in a empty park. :cool1:

Oh we loved Tusker House! Hoepfully you did too. Prepark opening breakfasts rock. DHS needs to open one next

It brightens my day to see a WDW park so empty. I am so GLAD that we went with a prepark opening for Crystal Palace. :thumbsup2

Getting those early ADRs is so worthwhile. It is neat to be there when it is soooo empty!

And I'd pick POFQ for a Mod. It is really lovely and peaceful and has a romantic element to it. You can do a carriage ride which would be very nice. And beignets. Not that beignets are romantic but they are delicious and a great sugar rush kind of way to start your day!

I love all the silly pictures of everyone!!!

Our pre-park opening Tusker House was one of my favorite memories of our trip. Animal Kingdom is so peaceful and beautiful first thing in the morning!

We love the Brown Derby! :cloud9: And how I wish they had the pumpkin cheesecake all year.

Your house is beautiful. The red accents are really nice too. I  all things red!

Yay Tusker House! We're going there on our AK day, but not early. It's an EMH night, so we're not starting till 10:15.

Ok so I got al excite for an update and I was scrolling and scrolling and boom you left me hanging!!! I can't wait to read the next update.
Did you guys do a dinning plan? If so which one? I wish they had one that did 2 tables and a counter than a snack that would be awesome. NO Perfect.
Can't wait to read about tusker house. They wouldn't let me make ressy's for the dino breakfast when I called last june(07) because they were in the middle of changing it to the tusker house and I said that I would take that and they said NO. Because they didn't have it ready yet......:confused3 . That is on the list for the next trip!

The empty Animal Kingdom pics are awesome. I've never been there that early.

It's wonderful that your family could get up so early and still be in good moods! i don't know if that would be possible for my family!

I have a question about the coffee...I have seen people refer to "real" coffee in several TRs. Is there fake coffee at WDW? (I'm not a coffee drinker, so I have no idea about coffee!)

that is something we are definetly going to do when parker gets older, the morning breakfasts at hte parks, i think tha is a great idea to get some pics with noone in the parks.
