First round of stimulus checks deposited today

You're right, I was just counting on that money for paying rent soon so it's hard not to be worried about it. I can pay part of my rent using a cc if needed, just didn't want to go that route. I will check the site again tomorrow. Need to focus on something more positive now. Disney Plus isn't working for me either though and I wanted to watch something on there... sigh. First world problems there I suppose. lol
Hang in there  :flower3:

I hate it when it's one of those days where multiple things don't work but hopefully tomorrow is a better day!

It has most definitely been one of those days... even spilled my coffee across my sweatshirt this morning to make it that much better! Ha
I'm obviously not 'liking' the post in that way but whew do I know what you mean..sometimes there are just days where it just loves to pile on!

They don't have my direct deposit information, that is part of the reason I was on their site - to try to enter that information.

Anyway, who knows. I'll need to plan as if I'm not getting the stimulus money even though I'm fully qualified to get it.
I just read that if you got the message it means the irs has not been able to determine your eligibility (which the message says). Supposedly a spokesman for the irs said it could be if ppl didn’t file 2018 or just filed 2019 & it hasn’t been processed yet. But, neither applies to us. I did talk to one other person I know who also got the message. But his filing status changed in 2019 b/c he’s divorced now. So, for them, it’s probably b/c it’s a more complicated situation. But ours shouldn’t be. I filed 2018 & am below the threshold. Only “issue” is I owed & am on an installment plan, but that shouldn’t matter according the eligibility FAQs. So frustrating that you can’t talk to anyone so who knows how long it’ll take to see what the problem is.

I just posted another article about this above - definitely seems like a lot of people are having the same issue, so that gives me hope that those of us who should will in fact get the stimulus check. Just a matter of when.
Oh good. That’s a different article than what I read. At least if it’s that widespread of an issue then they may actually look into it or create a way to contact for that purpose.

My DS filed his own taxes for 2018 and 2019 and got refunds via direct deposit (2019 was deposited 4/13). We did not claim him on our taxes. Yet he got that message. So, I am not sure the issue.

We also got the "Payment Status Not Available" message. We have filed every year, and our AGI is below the threshold. Looks like we're not alone, and hopefully, the IRS will get everything updated soon.

Plus it says for us to read the eligibility rules. As if to see why we're not eligible. It clearly says in message 'from the information we have we cannot determine any eligibility'. That is not a...we are working on it message. That's a nope message. But I guess it could have been given in error.

Though, I suspect DS won't get it because he is under 24 and was taking like 2 community college classes. And DH and I make too much for us to be eligible so they deem our son 'could be claimed as a dependent' even though he wasn't claimed by us as he lives on his own and works full time. Just like my DDs-21 could not get an on campus job because DH and I make too much. But the college also would not talk on phone to us or allow us to see their grades because they are adults. But not independent adults I guess since they could not work on campus jobs. There they could be dependent upon us. Oh, and when we paid the tuition bill. But not if we had any account question. Then the school could only talk to DDs (or DDs could sign some form giving permission to talk to us).

Those of you with full-time working 20somethings living on their own...the ones who got it, did you also get it and the ones who didn't get it, did you parents also NOT get it? If you care to share. seeing if they might put under 24s who's parents make a lot into dependent category even though they were not claimed as dependents????

The one thing keeping me from panicking is some over 24s here also didn't get it and got this message. When they do qualify and should get it. Like Dentam. So there could be some other wave needing to get processed and it's just poorly worded.
Our 23 year old, independent, full time working and full time student DS got his $1200 deposited today.

Same situation, tried with amount of overpayment and says it doesn't match, tried it with $0 and then it says system unavailable.

I owed a small amount this year so the IRS didn’t have my direct deposit info. I went on the site and entered my information and received the “you don’t match our records” message. I realized on my street address autofill had left out the city and state. When I went back and filled it out again including the city and state then it said I was good and eligible for the stimulus check.

I can finally see the pending deposit. It wasn’t there earlier today, but I just checked my account again and it’s there. Here’s hoping the rest of you see them soon as well!

My parents got theirs today. They haven't filed 2019 yet, but did have direct deposit info on file from 2018.
We did not get ours. We have filed 2019 and have direct deposit info on file from that filing - but we owed in 2018, and paid with a check so no direct deposit info was on file that year.

Hmm, the instructions for the address line specifically say not to include city and state. I get past that screen ok, it seems that my AGI or refund is where I get the mismatch.

I was successfully able to add DD21's direct deposit info today. I thought it might be automatic since she paid via electronic debit, but apparently they were not going to use that account automatically.

I'm confused. It specifically said on the site not to include the city and state in the address line. Maybe that's the issue? Incorrect instructions on their site? I feel like I tried entering it every way possible though and it still didn't work.

I don’t know, I didn’t see that instruction but it was the only thing I changed and it went through.

My wife and i got the Stimulus payment direct deposit today. With all the bills it is almost gone in 1 day. But still very helpful in this terrible time.
