I am planning a 3 day trip to WDW for our church group and the suggestions were for February or First of Novemeber. I think February would be too cold. How would the weather and crowds be for 1st of Nov? How about crowds? Thanks for any info!!

MY vote goes for first of November. Warmer and I think crowd wise they would all be the same.

End of Feb, first of March is a good time, cool temps, low crowds, value prices.

For a day trip - first of Novemeber. This is assuming that you don't need great hotel rates. If you did need the lowest rates along with low low crowds, the first of February is ideal. (I've been when it has been very mild - t shirt weather, and I've been when you needed a sweater but no coat and I've been in later Feb. when it was cold one day and rather warm the next. Just depends). But first of Feb (before about the 10th) is absolutely the best crowd wise (there aren't any) November could still be crowded but it will be warmer (might even get hot)...

other than the first 2 days of mid 50's weather... the temps were in the high 70s low 80s, little to no crowds ( maybe 15 minute wait at the most), and a wonderful break from the NY winter. I told DH I would come love to return the same time next year, however we had to pull the kids out of school for 6 days for this trip, and with my oldest is going into 6th grade next year there's no way I can pull him out of middle school for that long.

Have done first week of Feb.... great prices in value season, cool but mostly dry weather. Low crowds.

Did last week of Feb. this year.... more expensive room rates, some 80's, some rain, one day 55! Average crowds.

Did mid-Jan one year, low crowds, 80 every day and sunny.... go figure!

I WAS THERE FEB. 2 TO THE 9TH, TEMPS IN THE 70'S AND 80'S (50'S ONE DAY) NO RAIN THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME. LOW CROWDS. GREAT TIME. GOING AGAIN SAME TIME NEXT YEAR.

Just something to think about, but next year you will have a lot of people from New Orleans there the first week of February - Mardi Gras is very early next year!:jester:

3FORME,

THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP. I HAD NO IDEA. DO YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW THE EXACT DATES?

Nov. will be slightly more crowded, but the weather will be better.

We were just there the last week of Feb and it was very cold on at least 2 of the days.

How does Mardi Gras in New Orleans affect Disney Crowd levels. New Orleans is about 9 - 10 hours from Orlando????

Mardi Gras is Feb. 8th in 2005. Most children in the greater New Orleans area have the entire week off from school, as do many children in the entire southern portion of LA.

I would not say it SLAMS the parks with people, but I can tell you that we always see people we know everywhere we go - the parks, restaurants, the monorail and hotels.

Don't worry, we are very nice! :D

I used to think it didn't effect crowds much, but after this past year, I'm not so sure. N.O. people were everywhere! We heard massive cheering of a fellow New Orleanian on the stage at the Indiana Jones show, and that's a pretty large theater. We even commented that almost the whole place was people from N.O., LOL!

3 FOR ME,

THANKS FOR THE INFO. WE ARE GOING 1/29 TO 2/5/05 SO I WILL GUESS THAT MARDI GRAS IS THE FOLLOWING WEEK. WHAT ABOUT THE CHEERLEADERS? NOT THAT I HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST THEM (I WAS ONE MYSELF MANY MANY YEARS AGO) JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHEN THEY WILL BE THERE.

THANKS,

LAH
