I go to WDW every year for the past 5 years, this year I finally convinced the whole family to come. We should be arriving Sunday, Aug. 29 at Sanford Airport by 10:30am, and we're staying at HIFS. So I'm hoping we should be ready to go to the parks (having pick up the rental car, check into hotel, drop off luggage) by 12:00 or 1:00. Which park would you take such a large party to, it is 8 adults and 3 children. We will have 5 PHs (and a 5-day USO/IOA pass). My question is which park would you take first-timers for a first night to give them a good feel of the "Magic"? TIA

Magic Kingdom. Definately. Try to get dinner in the castle (may be hard with a small group) or a character meal, then watch the fireworks.

:)

Have an awesome time!!!:wave2:

I would avoid the Magic Kingdom if you are arriving on a Sunday at noon or one. That is early entry day for resort guests, and that would increase the crowds there.

I would probably go to MGM and plan on booking a Fantasmic dinner package for that night.

No way would I take the group to Magic Kindom on a Sunday afternoon. Go to MGM and do Fantasmic (the best show in WDW:) or go to AK. Everyone goes to AK in the morning and by noon, the place is pretty empty (except maybe River Rapids). You could probably do most the fun stuff in AK by 5:00 when it closes, then take the group to Rainforest Cafe for dinner or book dinner in the AKL and enjoy the resort. Good Luck!!
