I am taking my family down in November and I’m trying to decide whether to book the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (Friday, November 8th) or the second party on Monday, November 11th (Veteran’s Day). I understand from another thread that they sell more tickets to these parties now and rides lines are much longer. I haven’t been to one since 2015. Will both of these parties likely sell out? Which date might offer better lines and overall experience? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Form what I've read, bloggers and other social media types tend to hit the first party to get their footage. Might want to avoid that one. Only difference between the two I can tell. Also, November 8th is a Friday night. I would rather go on a Monday night.

Go on the 11th (I'm going on the 8th, and anyone I steer towards the 11th gives me an emptier park)

Haha, I was going to post the exact same thing. See you on the 8th! We have no choice as we're squeezing it in before a cruise. But in all seriousness--the 11th is a better choice for OP. First party is always more crowded.

I went to the first party last year (Thursday night) and was actually pretty shocked at how low wait times were for the rides and how easily we were able to get around the park and get our snacks. I found out why when it was time for fireworks - EVERYBODY was in the Hub and along Main Street. It felt like most people set up shop there and stayed all night.
