first haircut anyone??

Thinking about getting my dd (2yr old) first haircut in MK. She was a baldy so her hair is now just getting long in enough to cut it. Anyone do this?? Any experiences ??

I don't have experience with this but I am planning on doing this with my DS who will be 18 months in Sept when we go. Hopefully he'll have enough to cut by then. He's quite bald at the moment.

We did it just after our daughter turned 2. It was really neat. It costs about what a regular haircut would cost anywhere, and she got a pair of "first haircut" Minnie ears, a certificate, and hair clippings wrapped up with pixie dust. They gave her lots of stickers to keep her busy while the lady was cutting her hair. Good photo ops too!

The only minor issue was the lady doing the cutting went a little overboard...I had asked for just a trim, and we came away with pretty much a boy cut! But oh well, it grew back!

My ds (now 2.5) had his first haircut at MK. We had planned for that, and his hair was getting so long that I almost gave in and cut it before the trip. I'm so glad I waited. They do such a good job at entertaining the kids. Ds wasn't too thrilled with the whole idea, but he ended up doing fine. He got a first haircut certificate and Mickey ears with "first haircut" on the back..all included in the $14 price. It was definitely worth it. The only problem is that they don't take appointments, so we did spend a lot of valuable time waiting. I'm glad we did it, though.

We did it on ds first trip at 13mos and it was so worth it! They did a really good job entertaining him while his hair was being cut and it was definitely an enjoyable experience. I say go for it!

We did this for our son last fall when he was about 10 months old. They were so good with him & very patient. I got some great pictures. He also received a "First haircut" certificate & Mickey ears. Very fun!
