First full week of November??

I'm wondering about this too!

I've been in the time between Thanksgiving & Christmas over 15 years ago. It was nice & slow but the downside was that 15+ years ago, Disney wasn't decorating for the holidays yet or as much. So they didn't have the Christmas decor. I SO want to take my son during the holidays and get to see it for myself.

We stay at the Hojo & they have that 1st full week still avail at the Retro/Ent rate- or at least their website says they do....

Normally yes since you're between Halloween and X-mas deocorations. This year it's hard to say with Carland being so new. I was planning to go this week and had to postpone until next May.

My concern about booking that week is if Carsland has any glitches or needs a bit of downtime to do small tweeks after summer - I think the first week of Nov. would be when disney would shut it (or parts) down for fixes. After Halloween and before Thanksgiving and X-mas would make the least amount of guests angry. I would book it in a heartbeat if we knew for sure all of Carsland would be up and running that week.

Two years ago it was a very quiet week! Very little waits for anything. We're going that week again this year, but I won't be surprised if it's quite a bit busier. I'm just hoping that it's not 100 degrees out like it was in 2010.

We are going that week.

We fly out November 3rd and back on the 10th.

We are doing SoCal (non DLR) 3-7 and Grand Californian 7-10.

It looks like it is a slower week with pretty decent weather, that's what we like. Our kids are still small, one is not in school yet so missing a few days of school doesn't bother us. Especially when we can do some educational activities mixed in with the fun!

Keep in mind Nov 9 th - 12th will be busy due to Veterans Day holiday weekend.

We were there in 2010 for the Sunday to Wed with Thursday being Veteran's Day. it was AMAZING!!! That Sunday was filming day for the Christmas special so in front of the castle was insanely crowded, but everything else was empty. Walk on to anything we wanted. Weather was good, but very chilly at 4:30 each afternoon. There were some Christmas decorations up, with more and more appearing each morning. IASW was the only thing closed for refurb. I walked over on Thursday morning (the holiday) to get souvenir maps to take home, and it was very crowded. Glad that we were done! I would go again that week in a heart beat.

We'll be going sometime in November. We have everything booked for the week after Thanksgiving (which I prefer) but my brother may not be able to go that week, so we're looking at the 4-9 (we'd leave Friday AM) so that he and my parents can go.

All I care for is that it's not super crowded. We're flexible for weather.

And Pirates has to be open. LOL!

We are in for that week too but want to get out before Veterans Day which I heard was CRAZY busy. I am still planning but DLR and Univeral Studios along with maybe Hollywood or San Diego...can't wait! I want Christmas decorations but DH and DS say its too early....
