A 10 day park hopper with no expiration is approx $517. A regular annual pass is approx $497 and a premium annual pass is approx $635. DVC members save $100 per annual pass, so that brings the prices down to $397 and $535. The DVC discount makes the annual pass a very good deal. These are the prices for the adult passes. I don't know the prices for kid passes. I hope this helps a little.

I had this all written down and now I cant find it.

10 day PH with No X = 518.66 with tax
AP adult = 499.57 with tax, take off the DVC discount ($100 or $80?) = 399.57 or 419.57.
I dont remember if the discount is pre tax or after, so prices may vary.
But it is almost equal to a 7 day park pass, at $413.22 after tax.

So, the AP seems cheaper, if you are planning more than 7 days.

I think you will be able to fit 8 days in, in 2 trips Don.

I'm not sure where our information differs but this is what I have figured out:

According to Disney.com's tickets store:
A 10 PH + No Ex ticket for 1 adult is $487 + tax. ($547.88 @ 12.5% tax)
A Annual Pass for 1 adult is $469 + tax. ($527.63 @ 12.5% tax)

I don't have a DVC membership, so I don't get a discount...
With the AP, parking is apparently included...since I am renting a car, that is a perk.
The AP grants me access to purchase a Tables in Wonderland card. Since we seem to have a bunch of ADR @ sit down eateries planned I think it is an investment.

I used the "view cart" button on the Disney ticket site.

12.5% is the hotel tax.
6.5% is sales tax.

Guess the AP makes sense. I doubt I will be able to swing a trip from Jan - May, but I would like to fly down and run the 5K, if I can talk my wife into a quick adult only trip.

I could be wrong but I don't think Florida sales tax is 12.5%. I know that sales tax and resort tax combined comes to 12.5%, but I don't think they charge resort tax on tickets. I believe Florida sales tax is 6.5%.

He can be a sad little princess if he wants to.:sad:princess: Is that akin to the sad little crabcake?

To borrow from another thread, Tinkerbell is not a princess to my knowledge. (Not that it matters) Of course, I have no knowledge of the recent revisionist "talking" Tink. Blasphemy....

Heck, I wouldn't have minded, say.... Elastigirl... Even Belle...

When I renew in July I'm demanding something more masculine... Shouldn't be tough to find... :rotfl:

The most masculine character created by Disney has got to be Shun Yu from Mulan. If he wasn't such a bad villian he would be my favorite. pirate:

Dodie ~ are you ready for the race tomorrow?

:car: :drive:

Hi. Haven't been online until now. If this stupid drizzling rain doesn't stop bringing out the yellow every 10 laps, it's going to be a LONG one.

Thats great Aaron.

Did you meet any of the other parents or were you a wallflower? :lmao:
Some of the parents I knew so I wasn't too isolated.

Sorry, Aaron - Pete's new camera has raised the bar... We want VIDEO!!!!:3dglasses popcorn:: :3dglasses

Pete's camera is technilogical marvel. My poor Sony camera can't compete. :3dglasses

Especially with a family of 4 or more!

Sort of a buy 3 get 1 free thing. :thumbsup2
Yea...Its a pretty good deal!

Here's a thought: Maybe Podcast Cruise #2, 3, or 4 will be a Halloween cruise, and we can come as our favorite Disney characters. Paul as a Mongol...

Susan and I have Mary P. and Bert already, but making new costumes would be fun, too.

Oh my the possibilities!!! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I just booked an extra BWV night post-cruise, so we'll be staying the 14th AND 15th... Gotta go ask Paul (and his Pinkie) to put us on the DATW list! :drinking1 :woohoo::drinking1 :woohoo::drinking1

Ooh! We're at BWV on the 14th and 15th too! Cool! We've never stayed there. We got a BW view room and are pretty excited about it.

It's my home resort. You'll love the BW view (which we also got ;) ).

Preferred view can be nice, too. We stayed 1st floor on our last-minute July 4th "Last look at the Adv Club" jaunt and could walk out our door to Leaping Horse Libations next to the Scary Clown pool. It was nice.

I want to try VWL because it's my favorite decor (esp for Christmas, I bet!!):thumbsup2

Alicia and I went over to VWL this past Christmas and were amazed at how beautiful it was! We will be staying there in the future. It's a resort to stay at during the winter in my opinion. The theme is all about cold weather! :thumbsup2

Our home is VWL and we bought there because that's always been our favorite, but we're looking forward to staying at most of the other DVC villas as well at some point.

In fact, in September, we doing one of those "not the best use of your points" things that can get you scolded on the DVC boards here - we're staying at the Poly in a lagoon view room. We've always wanted to stay there. We couldn't justify the points for concierge, but four nights lagoon view we could swing.

I'd love to get AKL concierge sometime. It's just so darned near next to impossible to do at 7 months.

DVC ROCKS!
