Finally all caught up with this thread. I went out shopping for FE stuff today. It looks like my goodie bags are shaping up to have a pirate theme. I'm not sure how that happened, it just did. I got the bags and some candy and ordered some of the other gifts. I also picked up some items at Staples and am going to attempt to make some magnets. I say attempt because I am a bit lacking in the creative gene. The magnets will be in honor of our cruise. I just want to be able to give every family something that will always remind them of the cruise and what a good time they had with everyone.

Then me and my mom went to Friday's to take advantage of their B1G1 meal free offer. If anyone is interested, go to TGIFridays website and you can print a coupon for the B1G1 offer. It is good until March 1st.

After dinner we stopped in Kohl's. I was able to find a pirate t-shirt for the cruise. Now all I need is a bandana and I'll be all set for pirate night. I also found a bunch of things on the sale rack and ended up spending a little more than I planned. Oh well. I'm not really a big fan of the woman's clothes that kohl's sells but they do have some very cute things in the junior dept. That's where I found all my stuff.

I have a question about getting US dollars while on cruise. I seem to recall there are no bank machines on the ship--is that correct? We can't ask at guest services for a check to be cashed as we have a Canadian bank acount. Most bank machines in the Bahamas would be local currency I assume.....has anyone ever been able to withdraw American Dollars in the Bahamas....maybe at Atlantis?

I'm not sure about this but I'll ask.

At the moment we are in cat. 11. I know if I switch, I might have to change decks. I would like to stay mid ship to decrease the motion of the ship. I didn't get sea sick on my last cruise, but I was mid ship on that one. So I don't want to mess with success. Of course, if I could get s secret porthole room, I'm willing to risk it

We're planning on buying some beverages to take on board. Do you pay a deposit on drink containers under Florida law? How much? Is it for:
Soft Drink Cans?
Juice Cans?
Beer Cans?
Pellicans?

A local would be better to answer this but I believe the answer is no. I don't recall paying deposits on Soft Drink Cans, but didn't buy any of the others.

My mom and I did some gambling at Atlantis last September, and the ATM's dispensed US Dollars. (and Yes, we LOST!)
