I brought a power strip on my last cruise and happy I did. It wasn't a Disney cruise so I don't know how many outlets they have, but I'm bringing mine.:thumbsup2

I would also recommend a power strip. I can't remember for sure how many outlets my Disney cabin had. It was either 1 or 2. I'm sure Tracy knows for certain.

See, I knew she'd know.

Thanks AskTracy and everyone else!! Power Strip it is!

AskTracy do you keep a nightlight in the bathroom or in your cabin? I imagine the inside cabins get really dark at night.

I have tried to use a plug in nightlight but too often it didn't work. I don't like turning on a bright light at night, it wakes me up, so I have started bringing a battery operated night light. I have been using those lights that you press and they go on and that works great. Also have used battery tea lights.

One of my troops was a supervisor at TSA, he says cakes and food are allowed through security. The exception to this policy is things like cherry pie or things with a liquid or gel like consistency. Cake with icing or frosting is allowed. :thumbsup2 Kim, you're are correct!

If I understand correctly, and want to say give snacks as my FE gift, as long as they are sealed & fit in my checked luggage (so I don't eat them all on the way down) they should be good to go? (no liquids)

My nieghbour is security at Pearson, so not all that much help for flying out of Buffalo.

No he doesn't. :thumbsup2
After all I am a good wife. :rotfl2:
I buy his beer,"with his money" mind you. :rotfl2:
I keep the fridge full. :thumbsup2
So for him it just is like magic.

Now we have Todd, Paul, and myself drinking John's beer. :scared1: Sip softly boys. Sip softly. :dance3:

John knows we're good for it!

The cost of beer is OUTRAGEOUS at the Beer Store in Canada!!!! Nothing like here in the States, you almost need a second mortgage if you want to have a couple beers with the guys!

Must be the extra alcohol.

Go right ahead guys!

Virtual beer is cheap.

But Todd is right, real beer is $$$$

24 bottles of a standard beer is $41. (Export, Blue, Golden)

I drink the (cheaper) value beer, mostly because it doesn't last long around here with the buddies dropping by.

It's only $28.

But you do get $2.40 back for the empties.

Well, I'm packing some ones, but not for room service!!

  :dance3:

I am not sure that ones get you very far anymore.

He expects me to make stuff, put it in individual portions, and freeze it. For all 9 days worth of meals. I told him PB&J is good. So is Cereal. Or go visit your mother.:lmao: :lmao:

It was bitter again this morning here, too. But clear. The sun in bright. So bright you gotta wear shades. We're slated for 4-8" tomorrow morning. Yippie. Another snowstorm to ruin my tail feather/bootie shaking time.:sad::sad:

My mother in law does this for my father in law when she goes away to visit the grand kids.

I've asked and asked about this.... believe me.

Unless Disney is willing to lift their "no appliances" restriction for large groups (Hear that, Podcast team?!? - I'd rent the thing again!!) I don't see it happening. Even the little home version would be verboten as I understand it.

DCL sez NO coffee, NO Soup, NO DOLE WHIPS FOR YOU!!

(The DCL Appliance Nazi as portrayed by Christian Bale)

I saw a battery powered Magic Bullet. I almost bought it.

I'm in a virtual waiting room waiting to buy Cubs tickets.... so, while I wait, I will ask a question.

We have a lot of electrical stuff that will need to be charged while we are sailing (cameras, phones, etc). Are there several outlets in the cabin or should I bring a power strip?

You get anything good. And Yes, I think there were only 2 plugs. And bring a hair drier if you want one that actually does something.

I have tried to use a plug in nightlight but too often it didn't work. I don't like turning on a bright light at night, it wakes me up, so I have started bringing a battery operated night light. I have been using those lights that you press and they go on and that works great. Also have used battery tea lights.

I have a plug in flash light I bought a couple of years ago and it is my favorite travel item. It has a setting for night light and it also is one of my son's favorite toys. It worked well with where the plugs were on the cruise.

We have 10¢ deposit here as well. It is hard for me to just toss a can or a bottle into the recycle bin when we go out of state. Those dimes add up!!! I keep the bottle deposit money and loose change in a jar and then use it towards a splurge a couple times a year. Last year, the jar money bought us season passes to Cedar Point and part of the first weekend's hotel...about $440 total. I don't want to say we drink alot....but yeah....

Thanks! :thumbsup2 and bringing that stuff leaves room for souvenirs (said the woman who has bought luggage on 2 of the last 3 trips)
