Hummus. Yummmmm. You forgot the cayenne pepper and (more importantly) the GARLIC! I thought about making some but didn't want to drag out all the stuff to make it. Maybe tomorrow.

I'm not supposed to cook with garlic. DP doesn't like it. And I tend to go over board. I once made a pizza with garlic and rosemary. I exuded an odor of garlic for three days.

That's just plain pitiful, Todd. Even the parents of twins can tell their own children apart. You should post a pic of them on FB.[/QUOTE]

Have you ever tried to tell apart a black fuzz ball? I will. Still looking for really good pics to post on FB.

Geez, I  crispy chick peas. I sprinkle them with salt and quite a bit of cayenne pepper. Gotta try it! :thumbsup2

I was thinking of getting something small, but sturdy. I always had big dogs... Malamutes and Labs... my last dog was a Great Dane. But... we have 4 kids (5 when my step-daughter is here) and SOOOOO many toys. I think my big dog days are over until the kids get bigger.

My male boxer is about 65 pounds and I don't think he is a big dog. I know others would not agree with that, but in comparision to a malamute, lab or great dane he is tiny.

I love garlic! Lucky for everyone I don't get the garlic odor coming from my body. :)
I had a friend in high school who loved onions and sometimes she would smell like onions.

I'm a bit late chiming in on the Jaws thing, but had to comment on this -- I just find it so funny that you are trying to convince your daughter to watch it, and not the other way around!

Now for my own Jaws story - as you may know, it was a book first, by Peter Benchley. As an avid reader, I read this when it came out. I was 12. I was also in the habit of asking my mom what a word meant whenever I came across an unfamiliar word. Well, we were at my grandparents house and I was reading the book, came across a word I hadn't seen before, and piped up "Mom, what's a vahjinah?" (spelled as I spoke it) My mother was so mortified to be asked this in front of her father, that she refused to answer. Oh, and the whole story line with Richard Dreyfuss character having an affair with the Chief's wife (which was the context for the use of the word) was cut from the movie.

Aren't you glad you know that about me? ;)

She doesn't like to watch scary stuff. I don't know why she's so sensitive. :confused3 She was RAISED on BtVS! She loved the theme song when she was a baby and danced (more like 'wobbled') to it.

Yes. Good to know. Now I know what to talk about during meals on the boat! Ya know, during those dull moments when no one is talking I'll just bring up Kristen's 'vahjinah' story! "Hey, Kristen, tell everyone the VAHJINAH story!" :thumbsup2

My dog is 85 pounds and he is a big dog.

We have German Shepherds. We've always had German Shepherds. They are definitely big dogs, but their intelligence spoils you for other breeds.

DH Phillip does volunteer search and rescue and search and recovery with our dog(s).

I would like for my next dog to be a Corgi. They are big dogs in small dog bodies. I thought of this when someone said they wanted a small but sturdy dog.

MMmmm. *licks fingers* Chick peas. *licks fingers scraping her teeth under her nails to get ALL the goodness remaining* Yummy.

Never been to a drive-in in my life. Think it would be a cool experience. It's just about extinct though.

We had four drive-ins around us growing up. The last is in the process of being torn down for a development. Drive-ins in New england were like a buffet for mosquitos. Yum yum eat'em up! :scared:

Chick peas are good when pureéd, with a bit of tahini and a dash of lemon juice.

Chick peas, hummis, and their like can go sit with the olives not to be touched. :scared: :scared: :scared:

I do hope we are sitting at opposite ends of the dining area, so we can yell that across the ENTIRE room.......

This reminds me of the new T-Mobile commercial, about the couple that has had 12 bulldogs, all named Steve.
