Last time I printed, laminated and just used magnetic tape. it worked out fine, but the doors aren't really heavy metal so it takes a good amount.

But, I read on the DIS that tape was a no-no. DCL didn't like folks to use it.

No, it's magnetic tape. Comes on a roll like "scotch" tape, but it's a magnet you peel the backing off of. You can cut to the length you need.

Ok , I actually have some cruise questions/opinion requests. Is anyone bringing a laptop? I don't know if I want to bring mine. How about a camera tripod? I have never been to the Poly (other than riding through on the Monorail), is it worth taking the full size tripod to the Poly meet? Is the view of the fireworks from there worthy of a lot of photos. I do have a Gorilla pod that will be with me, but I am just not sure about the biggie. Have I mentioned I'm a photography enthusiast?

See? I told ya I was Dopey. Visual aides always help. Thanks for that, Jen!

The only thing kinda wiggin' me out about the cruise right now is..... magnets. Since I have to pay for pretty much every aspect of this entire trip (excluding food and gas ONLY for the 5 days prior to the cruise), I need to find the least expensive way to make my magnets. Originally, I thought I could just use magnetic paper but that is pretty much out of the question now. How should I make them? I heard about printing them on paper, laminating and attaching magnets. I also heard that not all magnets are equal. What is the strongest magnet then? Any advice? I've never done this before. I'm sure you knew that already. ;)

This is what I do. It works out good - except I usually add more glue/tape to the magnetic tape because the stickiness isn't the best. I have also found that the magnetic paper magnets I did once faded pretty fast so I like the laminated paper magnets better since they last longer after the cruise.

All right, I can SEE any of you, but DH is bald, if you didn't notice in my pic. He wants to start using an electric razor on his head. Any hairless men out there that use a electric razor on their heads?

My husband uses a remmington and adusts the foil to almost nothing. Whatever the heck that means. LOL.

I don't have a blu-ray player yet! :scared1:

DH bought a PS3 while I was in WDW with my sister last January - he figured he deserved a treat too....
:sad2:

Ok - caught up, but no time for chat YET....working on scanning in some older bellydance photos for a gift for she who is closing her studio - we need to be quick - 2 1/2 weeks is all we've got...

chat later!

I was there, but I'll be back. Any news on the house?

Nothing yet they just left at 4:30. Basically we thought they were a no show but they showed up when we were here. We said they could look around while we went down in the basement. Then they came down in the basement and the husband was asking Gene a million questions. They went out on the deck to check out the pool. The realtor pulled me aside and said they had seen 17 homes and said this is the one when they walked in. They are cash buyers from NewYork. She said it was VERY promising. Lets hope I have been trying to sell this house for 2 years now.
