Good morning everyone! It's a very dreary day here. I'm off for most of the day. I'm driving to Iowa City to spend most of the day in the hospital with my friend. She just had a baby on Thursday and the baby has pneumonia. So, I'm going to sit at the hospital with her to keep her company.

I was just looking over the D23 announcement. Somewhat underwhelming and pretty much what everyone figured it would be.

Just my personal feelings but if you are an AP holder you should be getting these privileges already. There's already another thread on this, but I thought I'd share my feelings here.

Have to agree with you Aaron. As an AP holder and a DVC member, Disney has enought of my $.

Some of the stuff is acceptably priced, after the membership cost. But come on $849 for a pen? Yikes.

If it was a pen that was used by Walt, then I could see inflating the price. But its a reproduction. Maybe I am just too used to my Bics and Pilots.

I will probably join today. I saved $75 this weekend not going to Disney On Ice. I figure I owe that money to Disney.

I know pens can get very expensive. I know my father has a pen that cost over $100 a long time ago. I don't get that either. I like my Bics too.

Quarterly magazine, membership certificate, surprise gift.

The only benefit is you are charter member if you join before the end of the year.

It's not really that exciting, but my birthday is coming up and I don't really want anything. I guess I found my birthday present.
