I lost around 2 and 1/2 lbs a week, which is about all one can expect to lose and keep off doing the crazy "lift weights/eat low fat" diet I used. ;)

I've always had good results with a 30-45 minute daily exercise routine and low-fat diet. I still eat carbs and a tiny bit of sugar though. I doubled-up on my treadmill time today 'cause I didn't work out yesterday. ;) 30 minutes on the treadmill, Wii Fit break and then another 30 minutes on the treadmill.... it does a body good. :thumbsup2

Sounds like everyone is doing great with the weight loss. I am pretty content with staying at 210 lbs. As long as I'm healthy and strong I don't care much what the # on the scale says. :)

Good attitude!

But you are GI Joe. I mean your arms are about as big around as one of my legs. :lmao:

Your body must burn fat like it's nothing because your metabolism should be high with your exercise routine, right?

We bow to your greatness! :worship:

UGH, I hate talking about weight. It is my biggest failure in life. I told DH yesterday that I need to tell people that I am just not available in the mornings and get to the gym. I'd like to lose ten before the cruise. It won't make a big difference on me. I have a LONG ways to go, but I'd like to have a small start. I have never gained weight on Disney trips because we do so much walking.

Truthfully Chris it's a constant struggle. I'm 41 and have been a Soldier for a very long time. That's a lot of wear and tear on the body. My job requires me to be in shape but there is a high price to pay for that. I'm not sure I would make it through a full day without Motrin! :sad2:

I've dropped 12 lbs so far and hope to have close to 20 off by the cruise. I have no intention of putting it back on in 4 days. I'll be more then happy to help Aaron get and carry. The walking will do me good.

I love walking Kathy. Anytime you want to make a food run just let me know! :thumbsup2

Tru Dat!! I'm about to turn 40 and the weights I can lift just don't increase like they used to!!

Paul's right about the number not mattering. It's just a way to measure change at first. Once you get your body where you want it to be, it's just a number (LIKE AGE!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 ) Not everyone needs to look like Mr. Incredible, but I'm glad some who do are serving in our defense!! :thumbsup2 :worship:

Wow.

I didn't know. I am 37, and I understand the struggle.

Thank you for your service! :thumbsup2 And we still bow to your greatness!

And for others out there trying to lose weight, I do the Beachbody workout each morning. It is a really good workout routine and anybody can do it because it is done in stages. I hope this helps someone out there, because it really has helped me. :thumbsup2

This may seem totally off the wall, but can you grab a lounge chair on deck 9, recline it, and fall asleep at night with the sound of the ocean in the background? I'm not talking just a nap, but let's say you fall asleep at 10:00PM and don't wake up until 5:00AM; by accident of course. Would that be wrong? :)

Aaron, are you seriously going to sleep outside?

I bet the crew would come by and bust you back to your stateroom.:lmao:

Tracy, there is a banner on the home page that says if you booked through Dreams to email and see if a shipboard credit is available. Is this something that we can get? It makes it song like new promotions have come out.

I doubt you would make it all night there. Security will be roaming the ship all hours of the day and night and I doubt they would let you stay there all night.

When we were on our Princess cruise, I fell asleep in one of the deck chairs, but it was during one of the evening movies that they were showing. So I don't know if they would have booted me from the deck chair or not. DH woke me up after the movie. :rotfl:

I think tonight I'm going to venture out a little bit. I have gotten in a habit of only visiting this thread. Tonight, I'm going to read up on the cruise line board.

I haven't seen it but that usually applies to new reservations. All of the reservations for this cruise (except for the cruise winners) will have shipboard credits.

No, it mentions for people who already have a cruise booked. Although at the bottom it says, deposit paid, not paid in full. So that wouldn't be us.

Thanks for all your thoughts. Don't ask me why it came to mind. I'd never purposely do it, but the thought of it just seems so peaceful and relaxing.
