First Ever DISUnplugged PodCast Cruise Part Two

It will be tough to assume hours at this point. Hours in April are usually much longer/different than hours in May because of the difference between peak season and off-peak season. So, we may not be able to be very firm at this point.

However, I think the Poly/Wishes thing is a good idea. Maybe we could just generally say at this point the plan is to meet X place at the Poly one hour prior to Wishes (TBD). This would allow those who want a Dole Whip to grab one and those who want one of those *wonderful* Pina Colava drinks from one of the Poly bars to grab one of those before the fireworks and electric light parade from the beach.:cloud9:

Then whoever wants to make their way over to the Boardwalk for more fun can do so!

Personally, I'm excited about this plan because we'll be at MK during the day on 5/9 and are staying at VWL that night. Woo hoo!

:thumbsup2

Liking this idea...what time do you think we should start?

May 2009 hours aren't on the Disney website yet. I did look at April's hours and the MK appears to be open until 10:00pm, with Wishes closing the day out at 10:00pm. So if those hours hold, Wishes would be at around 10:00pm. I assume anyway...

So if we look at something like Todd's suggestion up there, what time do you think we should start the evening's festivities?

We can definitely plan a time to meet up on the Poly Beach for Dole Whips & Wishes for those not wanting to do the Drink/Eat Around the Monorail Resorts, of course.

And then after Wishes, those interested can trek over to Jellyrolls for the rest of the evening! Or turn in since there will be a race to get to the Wonder the next morning...:lmao:

So let's wait for the hours to come out and when they do we can start an un-official pre-cruise meet thread. We'll have it at the Poly beach for Dole Whips and Wishes fireworks. Jellyrolls afterwards for those interested.

Okay, so now that this is planned, I'll be calling for my ADRs for Narcoosees, then we'll just hop on the monorail to the Poly. I LOVE PLANNING!:woohoo: I've just been able to cross off 2 things on my must do at Disney list.:yay:

Trying not to panic. I started a new project about six weeks ago w/ a go live date at the end of May. Today they announced a vacation freeze for April, May and June :scared1:

I'm going to send my Project Manager an email tomorrow explaining that this cruise has been planned for a year and since we will be getting back to early Thursday morning, I would technically only be gone three days (Mon- Wed).

I could get a room and work from Florida - and still have the evenings and weekend free to "play".

Keep your fingers crossed and the pixiedust: coming.

Okay, sent the boss a note about this cruise and my February trip (just in case there was a problem w/ that one I wanted to know before the penalty kicked in and she said....

I would just plan on both for now

Now I can start saving for my excursion to Atlantis :thumbsup2 Can I use my on-board credit at Atlantis ???:lmao: :lmao:

Or maybe we can just bring a few decks of cards and chips and meet in one of the Presidential Suites???? You up for that Kevin and John????

I want sushi. Let's not forget the sushi bar.

EWWWWWWWW!!! Je deteste les poissons! (SIZE="1"]But my travel partner want to eat at the Poly sushi bar.[/SIZE]) Maybe we'll turn dinner at the GF to appetizers around the monorail....ahhhhhhhh:scared1:  :scared1:

I'm not sure where we'll be eating that night yet. I'm waiting to make those plans until after Christmas. That way my brother and his wife will have a say in what our plans are for dinner...lol

So I know there's the sushi bar at the Poly and the Wave at the Contemporary. Where would we go for drink/munchies at the GF? Maybe we should stick with the Poly? We can hang out on the beach and socialize until Wishes and the Water pageant...

I have no intention of getting sloshed before Wishes. But there's a good chance that I might if we move onto Jellyrolls afterwards! ;)

I will probably be in EPCOT that afternoon - I can meet people at Jellyrolls after dinner at Coral Reef... I want a very late dinner so I can walk out of the back of EPCOT nice and slow... I've never been to Jellyrolls, so that would be a lot of fun!

I looked at the hours from last May on the WDWinfo page and found that Wishes was at 10pm on Saturdays in May 2008. Again...this will depend on park attendance and stuff as to whether or not the times remain the same for May 2009.

I'm cool with the Poly stuff. That gives us time to play at DQ without feeling terribly rushed and then we can head over to the Poly for our meet! :yay:

So if the hours are the same, then we'll meet at 9 at the Poly beach and watch Wishes at 10. Those interested can to to Jellyrolls afterwards.

DEAL!

Dually noted. Written on my planning sheets & cards.

Good point about no bar at GF. I think we'll have dinner there. Go to the Wave and cruise the Contemporary (I've got a 1st timer with me.... ). Then be at the Poly one hour prior to Wishes. Depending on how tired we are by then will determine just how long we stay at Jellyrolls.

**side note: We still need to verify the hours of ABC on 535 or I-Drive. May need to fit the 'refreshment run' in on Saturday afternoon.**

We're doing our refreshment run on the way to the Dolphin! Figured it would be easier to do it on the way instead of having to leave later on...:woohoo:

I think the Poly meet sounds wonderful, but I don't think I'll be able to join y'all. I'll just have to meet everyone on board the Wonder. If we fly in on Saturday, we'll probably just stay at the Hyatt overnight.

So, here's another idea. If we get off the Wonder and we still want to continue the party, I'll be at the S/D with a majority of y'all. So, is there any one interested in a:

POST CRUISE, BEEN GREAT SAILIN WITH YA FAREWELL PARTY??

:boat: :sail:

Oh, my stars! I haven't given any notions to a post cruise party. But that might be just the leverage needed to convince my travel partner to book the extra days and go to the P&PP on Friday!!!

****Anybody know what park has EMH Thursday night? Anybody think its worth a 1 day ticket?****

Shanan and I are arriving to Orlando on the 10th, but are staying at Disney World the 14th-20th... we would definately be up for a post-cruise party :woohoo:

Becky has been kind enough to offer me a ride to the local ABC (or what ever) store on Saturday for our refreshments. How many bottles can we carry on?

Do you have any thoughts on when/where/what???
