Oh! I have "guarantee" I have no idea what that means

That means you won't have a room assigned until nearer the cruise and that you will, at a minimum, have a room of the category you paid for/chose, but may possibly get a better category too.

AskTracy....
Question
When do we find out what our dining rotation and times are?

Your dining time will be 5:45 for early or 8:15 for second seating.

I'm certainly not AskTracy, but I'll answer because we've done DCL twice before. You won't know your rotation until you get onboard. I think you don't actually know your late/early seating for sure until you get on board either. It's on a card you get. You used to not get that card until you got into your stateroom. That may have changed.

You will get a rotation indicated on your Key to the World card. It is indicated by letters on your card - APPT, PTTA, TAAP. This will indicate which dining room you start in.

I've been pricing out rentals as well, even while staying at the Dolphin pre-cruise. I want to have some freedom to drive around property, visit the outside of my former College Program housing complex, and be able to stop at a store (:drinking1 :rolleyes1 :upsidedow ) or two. We plan on driving down in the morning. I haven't priced out which is more affordable, to pick up the car on Saturday @ MCO drop it off at the rental company's port location and do the reverse on the way back, or to get it for the week and pay the parking charges at the port. {Hoping we can swing the extra couple nights post-cruise and attend the P & P Party that is scheduled.}

Since most car rentals in Florida don't have a one way drop off fee, you will likely be better off with two one way rentals. Remember you will have to pay for parking otherwise, and it is $15 a day.

How did you guys get your room numbers already?

answered by many LOL

Oh! I have "guarantee" I have no idea what that means

You likely booked a category 12 stateroom and those are not assigned until much closer to the cruise date. You are guaranteed to get at least a category 12 room, but may get an upgrade at no extra cost.

:rotfl:Only TWICE? :snooty: :snooty:

I decided to listen to it again (for the third or fourth time) whilst I await the posting of the e-mail show. And to get excited!!! 177 days!!!

Alright Jen...what did you want me to help you head up for a potential pre-cruise meet? :upsidedow

:dogdance: Just listened to the special Podcast cruise!

Wow! The Podcrew are really doing this up big! Woo hoo! I especially am looking forward to seeing the pres. suites :tink: I already started with the obsessive planning questions buzzing in my brain. When's the next Overplanner's Anonymous Meeting? ...(Note 1-Need to make sure kids are fully occupied during podcast taping..maybe bring oldest! Note 2-bring glass pen writer to organize when to bring the kids and when not to on stateroom mirror....and it goes on and on... (ie-brunch bring them)

Thanks Podcast Crew! :flower: This def. gave me something to chew on for awhile! :dogdance:
(btw :worship: I totally surrender in defeat on trying to keep up w/ this thread! If there's anything in the last 25 to 30 pages that's important it'll have to wait 'til Thanksgiving break when I can thankfully sit my butt down and do nothing but live on the disboards! popcorn::

Hey, where'd the Turkeys come from?

So since there is no pre-cruise meet and greet planned (I guess the Team needs to pack too, LOL), I thought we could plan something very informal.

How about Dole Whips on the Poly Beach to watch Wishes? Is anyone interested? Anything afterwards is fine too (drinking around the monorail, Jellyrolls, etc).

We can start a thread for those interested in gathering.

We've been tossing ideas around for a while, I suppose we should start to shore up some details?

I know you didn't ask me, but I'm gonna put in my two cents. :goodvibes

For what it's worth, this is what I've been thinkin':
  • Cocktails/Hors d'Ouevres around the Monorail (pre-Wishes to avoid the MK mass exodus)
  • Getting a DoleWhip at the Poly, in honor of Bawb
  • Watching Wishes (& Electric Light Pageant) from the Beach of the Poly
  • Heading back to Jellyrolls
  • Walking back to the Dolphin...might not be able to drive legally by then;)

Okay so what time is Wishes? 9? So we can meet at the beach at 8ish to say our hellos and get our whips.

Not sure when Wishes is...have to defer to a better qualified expert on that one....But I think meeting 60 prior sounds good. Give us a chance to meet and get a spot.

Liking this idea...what time do you think we should start?

May 2009 hours aren't on the Disney website yet. I did look at April's hours and the MK appears to be open until 10:00pm, with Wishes closing the day out at 10:00pm. So if those hours hold, Wishes would be at around 10:00pm. I assume anyway...

So if we look at something like Todd's suggestion up there, what time do you think we should start the evening's festivities?

We can definitely plan a time to meet up on the Poly Beach for Dole Whips & Wishes for those not wanting to do the Drink/Eat Around the Monorail Resorts, of course.

And then after Wishes, those interested can trek over to Jellyrolls for the rest of the evening! Or turn in since there will be a race to get to the Wonder the next morning...:lmao:

ok - haven't kept up with this thread. Work is getting in the way but since I haven't won the lottery yet I guess that's the way it is.

Listened to the podcast about the cruise and can't wait to see the Roy and Walt Suites. The Palo brunch will be nice as well. We didn't have a great experience the last time we were at Palo for brunch so hopefully this experience will be better even if it's not in Palo. (Didn't have a great Palo dinner experience either for that matter but had a great Palo tea experience).

Anyway now that the Princess and Pirate Partys are back is anyone interested in attending the one on the 8th. We are thinking about it as we had a great time when we went last year.

Hope everyone is well and will try to check in more often. Our Thanksgiving is over so we have no holidays til Christmas!!

Fiona

We're toying with staying an extra couple of nights and going to the one following the cruise on the 15th.

If the cards fall as expected, Namine and I will be dining at Citricos (maybe Narcoosee's) on Saturday evening. I've never drank around the monorail before <e-gad> so I have no clue how long to plan for. Ideas? Maybe 7:30? is an hour and a half long enough to munch and drink a bit? I don't want to be sloshed when meeting the non-COB PodCast Cruisers!
