I don't mean to break up your fun, but as Dis friends it is your duty to listen to me complain. A big branch from a huge pine tree in our yard broke off last night due to the ice and whacked the house! Ripped the vinyl siding off and left a gouge. It missed a water pipe by a tiny bit. So close that there is bark and sap on the pipe, so it could have been worse. End of complaint. Feel free to resume prior fun topic.

I know it sounds silly, but be happy your flight was canceled so now you can tend to the tree and house. You would have worried the whole time if a neighbor called to tell you what happened.

That sucks too! But yes, be thankful it is not so bad that it would delay your trip further. Our trip in 2003 was during a huge ice storm in april in Rochester. We got calls all week about how we had no power,our FINISHED basement was flooded with 3 ft of water, computer, tv floating around.
DH took care of the calls- I took the attitude- hey,nothing we can do from here so I am going to enjoy my trip and worry about floating appliances when we get home! Had this happened just before our trip not sure how we would have left.
Anyway, glad damage is not too bad- get on that plane, quick!!

Still in Albany. We're supposed to fly out at 1430. Original flight was at 0700. Keep your figers crossed for us.

Everywhere has some sort of weather issue. You just have to figure out what you can live with. isn't working out so well though......

Its awesome that you use a 24-hour clock. I was raised on one and it makes life easier. My friends think I am nuts though.
