I made it back from Home Depot, and I didn't kill anybody or wreck anything. I did park wwwaaayyyy out in the parking lot, too.

Hey Paul: I just talked to DH on the phone and he said he and his dad just got done doing back and triceps. His dad made him do 32 sets on his triceps. He said he can hardly answer the phone! I asked him is it bad when your 55 year old dad's arms are bigger than yours? He give me the sniffy reply that he's built like a tour biker and his dad is built like the Hulk!

BTW: You and Alicia and family look super great!

Nah, my DH doesn't keep it up. He likes cycling more. He only works out like that when he's having "Man Weekend" with Dad. His Dad is maybe slightly bigger than you are, but the dude is 55! He also has the nicest calves I've ever seen. If you tell DH I said that though I'll have to push you over!

I am up and drinking coffee. Late night last night... my 4 year old has a stuffy nose and complained all night that "his nose was not feeling well at all". Kids cold medicine isn't sold anymore so I had to suck it up with him.

I've cleaned the living room and kitchen and fought and won 3 fights (thanks for the help posse!) Today is a lazy day with the kids.. tonight I am going to see Kate Gosslin (of Jon and Kate fame) and then dinner with friends.

It's sunny in Illinois today and we have a new Governor!

I worked with someone who had that exact Jeep. Machine gun and all.

That sounds like an oil change place.....

It used to be. The original Quaker State and Lube was a converted gas station. The new ones all have cars and motorcycles in them. They know how to make wings.

I picked up a little battery operated fan at the drug store. It was sold under Neo Citran and comes with scented pads of eucalyptus vapor. DD has a runny nose right now too - I put this by the head of her bed and she sleeps better...like rubbing on the Vicks without the mess.

Poor little sick one! I'm surprised they haven't come up with some new type of children's cold medicine!

I went for a walk with me dog and here are a few pics.

This is a picture of the front of my apartment. We are running out of places to put the snow.

On our way to the bank this morning three large wild turkeys decided to hop/walk/fly/trot across the road right in front of us. And jump onto the windshield. (Nothing too new, we still have an abundance of suburban 'wildlife'.) But it was the first time DP and the pups saw live turkeys. The pups turned into scaredy cats.

We had a deer on our porch earlier in the year. The colder it gets the closer they come. Lots of cardinals in the yard this morning, I almost ran to get my camera then remembered that I was lazy.

My dog thinks he his big and tuff. He loves to chase the crows. He does not know that they would kick his butt.

(And far too often on the side of the road on the way home. ) They have become such a road hazard that the city counsel voted to hire a marksman/sharpshooter from the county sheriff to 'thin the herd'. The venison has been donated to local food kitchens.

But that is one thing that I have to say I like snow for....seeing a cardinal against the stark white....breathtaking and awe inspiring.

Last year we had bear's come down in to the front and also tried to get in the trash. We have elk, deer, foxes, raccoons, and rabbits around here also. It is a regular zoo in this area.
