Thought I would post a "tip" for any first time cruisers.

When you arrive at the port the porters will take your bags for you. The expected gratuity is about $2 a bag, my "tip" is to bring some small bills for this!!

We have gotten caught with 20's (because when we exchange currency here thats what we often get). You may also want to have a couple extra singles if you are returning a rental car and taking a shuttle to port.

yeah, I hear ya...My kids are in high school and of course they sent out notices about the flu. anyway I have been treating them lately like they are 2 and telling them ..."don't forget to wash your hands in school" so you know what they tell me...."mom, there is no soap in the dispensers and no towels" I think I really need to call up the school today this is crazy especially after they sent out these notices. Its bad enough that my dh takes the subway everyday in NYC to work, I worry about him getting the flu, ugh but at least his job has soap in their bathrooms.

A little off topic....but anyone know which is the best Sonny's between the airport and the DolFUN? I know it may not be gourmet, but it is something I get each time I go to Florida.

It makes my day to know that in 1 week I will be a few thousand feet in the air, on my way to the best place on Earth, to meet some of the greatest people around.

Not sure where a Sonny's is over there but they may not be open anymore. They've closed all the Sonny's by me!!

I sewed my FE back together last night. I was so excited I remembered how to thread the machine I danced around the kitchen. I haven't done that since 8th grade.

I also got a suitcase all packed and zipped up last night. Unfortunately I think it's over the 50 pound limit so I need to borrow a scale. Most of the stuff fit, so we might get away with 2 bags, we shall see.
