First DVC TRIP: Internet question

This is our first trip as DVC members, and i had read somewhere on this board that the internet is free for DVC members, is this correct...thanks hillary

Yes, internet is free to DVC members.

Yes, its free to members staying on points. If you are doing a cash stay then I'm not sure whether you have to pay or not, I think implementation of the rules has been sporadic.

ya we are on points for both resorts, this is fantastic, i wasnt going to bring the laptop, cause last time it was sooo much to conect, but i think i will now...can wait to be in disney.....17 more days, yeaaaaa

One thing to add it's only wired internet in the room. There are several threads and I have to say Apple Airport Express Base Stations are very popular option to add wireless access.

And to add to the details - - -

The 1br and 2br usually have only one (1) wired connection point in the facilty, so a wireless router is a good thing if you have more than one needing the internet, or (most important) you don't want to be teathered to the bedroom and not be able to sit on the balconey with your laptop.

Also, and very important - CHECK YOUR BILL before you leave. They will remove the charges that somehow seem to get on your bill, even though you are identified as DVC members and staying on points. Can't explain how it happens, but it does.
