First DVC Reservation Trip Packet?

New DVC owners and we are excited to be scheduling our first trip soon. Previously when we would book a stay at a Disney Hotel we would receive a trip brochure with our name one it. Do you receive a similar packet when booking a stay as a DVC member?

The pamphlet with the Incredibles on it with "your family vacation" on it? I have gotten them for DVC, including my February Bay Lake reservation. They have changed in the last 6 months or so; they started off (about 2 years ago is when it seems they started) with magnets in the back with the important dates written, but now the magnets are gone.

There was 1 time we booked when they first introduced the MB's that they sent a DVD with it as well.

We haven't received anything like that for our upcoming trip this month but we did for our Jan trip this year. Think they must've discontinued the Incredibles brochure.

We have been getting the Incredibles brochure for every single trip so far... including for each resort we will stay at for split stays (separate mailings).

I just received my incredibles packet for my August 2016 trip the other day.

Yes, you should get the standard Incredibles brochure. I don't know if they do anything special for your first stay, but I also remember getting something a little special for our first stay. When your MBs come, you should also find some "DVC" sliders in the box with them. If not, ask at the desk during check-in and they can give you some for your bands.

That sounds reasonable, they've been giving them out for about a year now (I think!).

Hmmm, I can't remember if we received one for our upcoming Oct DVC stay. We did however just receive a booklet for our cash reservation December stay. It did not have the magnet but we generally just thumb through those booklets and then toss them out anyway. I think the very first one or two actually made it up on the fridge.

We do love the thank you notes that they have been sending out for the past couple of years post trip.

Those Incredibles packets are garbage. I throw them out as soon as i get them.

In July we booked a trip for June 2016 and we received the Incredibles booklet. I tear off the back page that has the reminder dates for FP+, online check-in, and customizing our MBs and place it on the side of the refrigerator. And I cut out the section that shows "Your Reservation at a Glance" and tape that info to the Incredibles "Your important dates to remember" page. It is nice to see them lined up on the fridge while I am fixing dinner.

I cannot remember the last time we got the Mickey Flash Drive with Edna giving a spiel about the Magic Bands.

People have stated here very recently that the sliders are no more. Sadness.

We did not get the sliders in our box of Magic bands, and asked frequently at the DVC booths around the parks. All of the booths said they were not available. The last person I asked said that they are now being kept at the resort desks. I wasn't sure, so I asked at BWV, and I received 4 lovely sliders!!!
