First afternoon/evening?

I know there are loads of first evening threads...

But I think it's because it's the part of the trip you can really imagine and be excited for!

As you maybe have guessed I'm excited at the prospect now!!

Last time round we got an indirect flight, but this time we're flying virgin so will hopefully be at AKL around 6.30pm.

We will need to activate our AP vouchers, and I am a littler nervous about doing this pre ropedrop at MK so am considering going to DTD to do this.

Does anyone think that the AKL-DTD bus is possibly the longest bus journey on property?

Would you get a cab?

It is about a 20-25 minute trip on the bus. Since you will get there at a reasonable time, I wouldn't bother with a taxi. The only thing that might be time consuming is if you just miss a DTD bus from AKL. When we stayed at ASMu, also in the AK area, we used the bus on our arrival night to DTD. We flew from Manchester with VA and got to the resort at 4 pm. The flight seems to often land early so we cleared the airport by 3 pm and were on our way.
