First a Little Pomp & Circumstance, then a Whole Lot of Disney Dining! COMPLETE

I'm guessing the bonbons just hit the market since there was no price or sign for them at all! I might ask how much they are tomorrow morning, just out of curiosity! I'm glad fans have SOME way of still obtaining them. :thumbsup2

I was going to send Barb another photo text but I thought 11pm might be a bit too late. But I had a Dole Whip during MK EMH tonight and LOVED it. My DH is a big fan and I've tried them numerous times in the past and never really enjoyed them (even though I LOVE pineapple and I LOVE ice cream!) but tonight it hit the spot in a BIG way. Could have been the fact that we had 900% humidity hours past sunset, but I think today was just the day for my tastes to flipflop all over.

Hi Becky! :wave2: Glad you didn't sink to the bottom of Stormalong Bay after all. ;) Great job with the updates today. And the investigative reporting on the bon bons was nicely done! :thumbsup2

We are removing Beaches & Cream from our list for tomorrow though...love it, but just can't eat like that for lunch two days in a row. I don't know how we managed it on our last weekend here! :crazy2:

In case you were wondering where Becky and Charlie had lunch today (after deciding not to have lunch again at Beaches & Cream), here is the answer...

Delicious Turkey, Brie & Cranberry Sandwich with a side of Cous Cous from the Beach Club Marketplace :thumbsup2

That looks like an awesome, light lunch - between the Babycakes offerings, Oreo bon bons, and yummy-looking sandwiches, I need to start spending more time at Beach Club Marketplace. Now if only they would bring back the gelato station... :cloud9:

I'm sure I will get to this in my review but seeing that No Way Jose actually makes me sad! ;) I really had my heart set on the No Way Jose and it was supposed to be our last meal of the trip. Then you'll have to see what happened! Ever since then I've been trying to find somewhere with burgers and real ice cream to make up for it but I haven't been successful yet. We have a Culver's so I could have a butter burger and some custard but somehow that just doesn't seem to cut it! I will keep looking and thanks again for the updates. I love them!

Beaches and Cream burgers are better than Culvers?!!? I LOVE Culvers and miss them so much!! I think there is a picture in here of us at a Culvers in our wedding attire! If they are better than Culvers than a trip to Beaches and Cream is definitely in order!!

Becky and Charlie had dinner tonight at the Flying Fish Cafe...

"Here is one of our Flying Fish entrees!
Great meal, but I'm pretty sure our server must have moved over from 50's Prime Time Cafe."

The Flying Fish Signature Char-crusted New York Strip Steak with a classic sauce foyot
Served with Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Haricot Vert (thin green beans), and Young Carrots

Hmm...sounds like this is going to be an interesting story for Becky's Dining Report. ;)

Can't wait to hear about that meal. The steak looks great.

Thanks for keeping us updated Barb!

I'm not sure if the burgers are better because I never got to eat there!! I love me a butterburger! But I so wanted the combo if a Burger and then a No Way Jose and I don't think Culvers has one like that. I guess I could try a burger with a caramel cashew sundae!

Oh my goodness - who took that piece of meat and covered it with so much char? :scared1: :scared:

I know a lot of people love that dish, but it kind of scares me. :rotfl:

I agree with DDW that there is a wee bit too much char on that and for me way to much "sauce" but those veggies look divine!!! And coming from me that is saying something. I avoid them usually but I am now looking at them and saying yes please!:goodvibes

Seeing that char on a steak - I'm a whole lot scared! I don't like my steaks overcooked and to me that just screams "I sat too long on the grill" ....but on the other hand, maybe it is bright pink or slightly red inside and glorious!!!

Thanks Barb for brokering the update!

I too would have to agree. ;) The first time I went to FF, I had the steak. I had heard so many great things about it here, but for me it tasted kind of burned and I wasn't wild about the sauce. But then again, what do I know...I didn't really like my filet at Shula's either! :lmao:

so happy to see the Oreo bonbons available at BC Marketplace. As I alluded to before (on I can't remember whose dining reviews - I really must try and keep up), I avoid Cape May Cafe like the plague as the smell makes me feel ill. I have seen the bonbons on various reviews of CMC, though, and been keen to try them. And now, hopefully, I might get the chance.

Breakfast today for Becky and Charlie was at Kouzzina...

"Our breakfast made Kouzzina a strong rival to Kona Cafe!"

This just in from Becky & Charlie, reporting live from their lunch at Sanaa...

"The folks at Sanaa must love me more than DDW...my mango tandoori chicken salad came WITH the masala-spiced pistachios!"

Mango-glazed Tandoori Chicken Breast - served with arugula, cucumber, radish, mango and masala-spiced pistachios

And for dessert..

"By request, a big cup of Chai cream! Saved me from ordering the trio when this was all I wanted!"

Um, what? :rotfl: Seriously - what does Sanaa have against me? I went back for a fourth time because I wanted to say nice things about it, and not so I could be disappointed again!

At this point, I have to give up on Sanaa, but I'm okay with that. There's cheaper, much more authentic and flavorful Indian food 5 minutes away from my home. I don't need to pay the price premium for a Disney restaurant to let me down again. :rotfl2:

That steak looks WAY overdone to me!! I like my steaks Medium Rare! The only reason I like them done that much is so that they are hot lol! A Rare steak tends to be a little too cool temperature wise for me.

I was just joking with the Sanaa comments, DDW! I just remembered your entree came without the nuts and couldn't resist the dig since I know you're not a big fan of the place. Which is allowed!

BIG THANKS to Barb for uploading all the photos (and adding the menu descriptions, good call!), being able to share some live info with such ease was great fun! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I know you were joking, but I'm not. I just can't go back there unless someone else was paying for the meal (and I've never said that about a Disney restaurant!). It's one meal that I almost always regret doing. :(

Glad your salad was served correctly though. :)
