ABS with Allie this am. First time to exercise in almost two weeks. Sweatin' my pututie off ( how ya like that Southern word) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: !!!!

Feels great to exercise again!!! Who knew you could enjoy sweating that much!!

Norma, so envious of you. I love Vegas but have not been in 13 years. I'm sure the place had changed greatly since them. Put a quarter in the Wheel of Fortune slot for me!!!

IMAX2 for me today. I remember the first time I did this workout; I thought I was going to die. Now it's just another fun workout, well maybe except for those d@*# plie jacks . . . they still kick my butt every time.

cindy, I'm glad things have calmed down enough to allow you to work out. I'll put not just 1, but 3 quarters in Wheel of Fortune for you. Just call me the last of the big spenders. :rotfl2:

kim, I'm right there with you on being lazy about taking out and putting away all the weights. Maybe we can hire a weight boy (kinda like a pool boy) to help us out. :)

Hi norma! Oh, IMAX2! I pulled that out the other day, thinking I'd just lower my step height to make it less intense, but even at 4 inches, I still don't think I'm ready for that sweatfest! Are you like me, and sing "If you like Pina Coladas...." all day long after you've done that workout?! :drinking1

I did Cathe's Low Max step-only premix today. I still get wiped out so quickly, but I'm starting back with a full-on (although still less-intense) rotation tomorrow. :) I need to add some lifting, because I know I've lost some strength. I think it'll be Cathe's PUB and Core Maxs' med. ball/stab. ball section.

Today's a bit of a sad day, no? I grew up @ 1.5 hours from NYC, and had three friends in the WTC on September 11, 2001. Sadly, one did not make it out alive. I'm thinking of you today, Jim, John and Lisa. :grouphug:

Hello Kim, love low max. My fave!!!!! You are going to make me pull it out, but I'm having fun experimenting with my new tapes from Cathe!!!!

So, two days ago, I got in the Timesaver workout. Ya know buying off of EBAY is cool. I've saved tons doing it this way. You would not believe the number of people selling their tapes!!!

I did the Timesaver 1 which was 38 minutes. Loved it. I like Step, Jump and Pump, but up until now only did the FITTV version. So I must say all this step was new to me, but fun!!! All of this segment came from Step jump and pump, and I must say, boy did I work out. Tomorrow I'll do time saver #5 which is about 50 minutes long. All leg and ab work!!

It is a sad day, but I try to focus on the positive. If I don't I get all sad and depress and things, and I just don't feel that today. I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and a wonderful day!
 
Morning guys, sorry I didn't post yesterday had mini golf with kids. Yes it was a sad day I can't believe it's been 4 years but I'm wishing we were home from the middle east. My brother headed over last week but he is hoping to be there only 4 months.

Yesterday I started a new tape from netflix just to mix things up and it was yucky. The stepping went way to fast and the instructor I just didn't like. So I shut it off after about 25 mins. I'm just not that coordinated. Today I did Kathy Smith kick-boxing. I liked this one ok but I do have to say Billy Blanks is number one for that. But the firm is as usual my ultimate favorite.

Sheree'! WHICH NEW CATHE WO's DID YOU GET?!?! :hyper: I wish she'd make this "big announcement" that she's been promising on her website for two weeks now. The majority of the Hardcores I wasn't too thrilled with, so I'd love some new workouts with the quality of the IS and BB's. Isn't SJP fun?! "Strike a pose." :teeth:

Oh, s&K'smom, I had no idea that you had such close family in the military! I tend to stay quiet on matters of the war (unless I'm debating with dh, of course! :) ), but all I really want is for our men and women to come home safely to the ones they love. God Bless him for his service and sacrifice, and I'll add him to my prayers that he stay safe and strong. :grouphug:

Well, I had planned on Cathe's PUB and Core Max, but Norma got me all psyched up talking about IMAX2 yesterday, so I did that instead. This is probably the most intense cardio workout I own, and I really had to modify to complete it--aaaaaaack--no blast from interval #9!!! I'm glad I gave it a try though, and I did a little better thatn I thought I would. Thanks, Norma! :goodvibes Tomorrow definitely needs to include some weight work--I'm flabby. :crazy2:

Hi everyone! This morning I did Step Jump & Pump. While I like this workout, sometimes it just seems so long. Oh well, more calories burned.
 
Hello All!! Well I got the timesaver workouts, supersets/push pull, core max, stretch max, low max, gym style legs, high step challenge, and kick max. That covers it for the minute. See I had been doing most of her workouts from fittv which just doesn't do her justice. So I just had to go and buy all of the tapes of the workouts that I really liked from there.

Timesaver #5 workout for me today. Legs are shaking. Lots and lots of legwork going on in that one!!!

I was thinking of all the Cathe finatics today as the college video catalog came today and I was looking at what I cannot buy. I must not use credit card!!!!

A 30 minutes Cathe step this am. Boy I really like her cueing. Any rumors on new tapes from the firm?
 
I haven't been to the yaya site in a while to find out!

I did time saver #3 this morning. Cathe is having a profound effect on my body. I weighed in this morning as Tom was over and I wanted to gage how I'm doing, and I've lost 3 pounds!!! I'm impressed especially since I eat whatever I want to. I think I'm gonna love working out more and more with Cathe!

A little Ya Ya news:

TLP (Tracie Long Productions) which features Tracie and several other "classic" FIRM instructors, are now in rehersals for new functional fitness w/o's to be released sometime in the fall. As of now, JEN CARMEN :) will be leading a w/o of her own!

Cathe's site announced a few weeks ago that she'd have a "major announcement" soon. So far NOTHING! :headache: I'm dying to know if there's a new upcoming series!

No new FIRM news at the moment, but if I remember correctly, the BSS4 buzz started happening last fall, with the workouts being filmed in November for a mid-winter release.

I did read somewhere that Leslie Sansone was coming out with a WATP 5-mile, but I'm not sure when.

That's all for now, but I'll keep on snooping! :magnify:

Sheree', I checked out Cathe's Timesaver, and I think it's something I'd really be interested in. Working out with Cathe for 40-50 minutes is easily the equivalent of working out with other vids for an hour or more, and there are some days I just want something shorter. I think Timesaver's going on my birthday wishlist!
 
I had planned a run for today, but I had some pain in my right knee and hip yesterday and I didn't want to be stranded out on the road if the pain started up again. So instead I did Ultimate Calorie Blaster (great minds. . . kim) and the ab add-on. My body is so ready for a break.

sheree, I've noticed Cathe is having a positive effect on my body also. Although I haven't lost any weight, I think I've lost inches - my clothes are looser. The odd thing is, though, that I've lost definition in my shoulders and arms even though I still lift the same weights. :confused3

kim, thanks to you I've been lurking over at the YaYas and I had read about the new TLP videos. I love Jen Carmen!! If her workout is even halfway decent, I want to buy it.

I've got lots to do today to get ready for my Vegas trip. I'm leaving tomorrow morning, so I won't be *talking* to you guys until next week. Keep on working hard!

Thanks for the firm updates. Today I did the Body fusion Cathe workout, plus it's very humid today and I was sweating bullits. Besides Taebo I think Cathe will make a nice addition to firming. I have come to the realization that even though I'll continue with firming and yeah I will get any new workouts I definately need to add something like Cathe to boost my workouts.
 
Good afternoon FIRMies!

I've been doing a variety of workouts to help me get through my 30 day challenge:

Sunday: 70 minutes of walking/pushing DD3 in the stroller

Monday: Body Sculpt w/Jen

Tuesday: 90 minutes mowing the grass, 15 minute uphill walk to MIL's (no pun intended ;) )

Today: Nothing yet; I'm going to do a heavy weight workout this evening.

I'm a little green with envy here! :blush: With a Disney trip coming in December, we really don't have money for me to buy any Cathe videos right now and it sounds like Cathe is really working for you guys! :Pinkbounc I've been "maintaining" (and I say that in a very frustrated voice :( ) the same weight for almost 9 months now and I'm looking for new workouts to rev up my metabolism. Sounds like Cathe is a good place to start. Maybe my library has some of her workouts. I'll have to check and see.

You guys are doing such a great job keeping up with your workouts! I am proud of you! :goodvibes Keep up the good work!!! :cheer2:

Hi guys, unexpected rest day as DS woke up but that's ok. Good news, got an email from my brother and he made it safely to Iraq and is working at the Bagdad airport which he says is surrounded by troops. He hopes to be home in January.

Toystoryduo, look at overstock.com they have really good prices, I plan to do a lot of Christmas shopping on that site.
