Firm Thread May 1-31st

Morning firmies, got in about 23 minutes of Stephanie's BSS3 tape when DS woke up, but I got in a good sweat and I was pretty sore from yesterday so I think it was actually a good thing. Plus since I didn't get in the 45 minutes I'll behave at the luncheon today they are having chinese food and if I'm gonna pig out I'd prefer burgers and fries but I'll eat just because it's there.

I did Cathe's Low Max this morning and I *always* forget how this just kills my legs and makes me sweat buckets! This is one workout that proves you don't have to sacrifice intensity for low impact. I think I'm going to count this as my lower body work for this week--honestly, I just got done @30 minutes ago, and my quads are still twitching. This is probably my fave workout from Cathe's Hardcore series. I was one who had 'sound issues' with these dvds, and I was sort of disappointed in the series as a whole, but for me, Low Max is a keeper! :)

I think tomorrow it will be Pam's SCSc and Cathe's Core Max--I may add on a little extra cardio because we're going to a Chinese buffet for dinner with friends and I plan on pigging out (give me some good suggestions, darling s&k's mom)! :mickeybar :hyper:

This morning I did Fat Blasting Cardio, Express Cardio, and the 8-minute Abs add-on from UCB. I think I'll try one of the sculpting tapes from BSS3 tomorrow.

Yesterday was MCB+ Abs - the standing legs section. Today will be a walk/run with my daughters or some other type of cardio this evening. I'm having a hard time getting motivated. TOM is on it's way and I'm feeling kinda out of it. I will try and get some type of cardio in today though! :cool1:

Coming back to report that I ran/walked for a total of 60 minutes + I did 40 froggie jumps. I am soooo tired, but happy I worked out. :goodvibes
 
I did Jiggle free buns and arms!!! I used 20 pound weights for all of the lower body work :banana: I used 20 pound wieghts for the chest work :banana: I'm feeling like an exercise machine (a tired one though!!)

luvmydogs, I love lowmax. It is a wonderful workout.

Everyone is really doing their workout thing. It is so great to see all of us firmies getting slim :cheer2: :cheer2:
 
Good morning!

Yesterday I did the 30 minute Firm tape with Lisa Kay. It was alright. Not intense enough for me. I'm going to do a Leslie Sansome walking tape today (3 miles) and tomorrow I'm doing cardio sculpt with Allie. I need to do some leg presses! Alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Just got through with Hips, thighs and abs with Pam from BSS3. Boy that ab part can be tough on the incline. I use the transfirmer box which is so much nicer but I had to go to the floor near the end, with my terrible posture my lower back can really hurt but for a short tape it's good. I like to use the 8lb weights for the thigh part, especially since I broke my stick and I really feel it.
 
Today was Jiggle free abs and the stretch ( I forgot to do it yesterday!)

I was originally going to do Pam's SCSc, but changed my mind to Steph's UCB. I just can't get enough of that workout! I added Cathe's Core Max for some amped up ab work, then called it a wonderful day! :sunny: Tonight we're going with friends to a Chinese buffet for dinner, and I am going to eat, eat, eat with no apologies!

I hope today's your best day ever! :grouphug:
 
Hey FIRMies.......

I bought Core Secrets the other day at Target because I wanted a "ball" workout. I figured this would be good to get me started. I don't like that they have upper body with weights on it, so I just skip that part. Some of those things are really hard to do with the ball moving lol. I figure its a fun easier workout and will use it for the lower body abs aspect. I think he has two that I might want to add on. A buns only and an abs only. Those are the areas I want to target using the ball. I did do the 45 min accelerated workout and not one thing is sore toay...........hmm, I hope its worth the effort. I think for balance and working the core it should be.

Monday night I had my follow up Dr's appt and he said it still could be a fracture, even though the x-rays were fine.........this is so frustrating. But he wants me to start walking and build up to running. If it starts to hurt I have to stop and have a bone scan.

So yesterday I went to the park for lunch and walked for 40 minutes at a leisurely pace (probably about 3-3.25 mph). Then I did 20 minutes on the TM at 4mph last night. I did feel the warmth in that area that I feel sometimes but no pain. It feels fine today, no pain. I'll continue trying 20-30 minutes throughout the week. I also did the 45 min accelerated Core Secrets workout- I'm thinking this would be good for my rest days, lol!! Don't get me wrong, the exercises are hard for balance and I can tell its working my core, but it isn't the FIRM lol! :rotfl2:

Today I plan to go to the park for lunch and then I know we are going to the park with the kids at our house tonight. Not sure if I'll have time to get a video in.

Boy are my arms feeling those 15lb weights when I use them. I have to pyramid down to 12's usually by the end because my arms are so spent I can't even lift them after a while. Its sort of comical.

Kim- Enjoy your chinese-yummy! You deserve to eat eat eat with NO appologies.
 
Good morning Firmies!

I did Total Muscle Shaping with Stephanie this morning. I've been using the Transfirmer for the BSS3 workouts; I never got the Firm Box. During the lower ab section, I kept sliding off the incline. I was laughing at myself because I knew I looked like a complete klutz. Finally I just moved to the floor.

I've always had problems with the incline and ab work. I just can't hold on right. I slide off too!
 
Good morning my friends, today was an unexpected rest day as DS woke up around 1:30am and did'nt get back to sleep for at least an hour so I tried to get some extra sleep in. Which I think was good as on the workout schedule is two tough tapes lower then upper body splits. Yikes there tough. So the rest may do me some good.

Oh and Chinese buffett is not meant to be eaten lightly. Charge on baby!!!

Last night I did Ultimate Calorie Burn with Stephanie. Woo hoo that was fun. I also did the 25 min Core Secrets video. I'm only using 5lbs maximum on the upper body so it will work my core and not count as a Sculpt video. There is this one exercise that works the hamstrings where you lay on the floor and push your feet into the ball as you hike your butt up. It works the hamstrings which is good for those who run because your hamstrings don't get built up like your quads do. I did that exercise twice and also practiced it from the fundamentals -just basically shows you the top 10 workouts. Lets just say my butt felt firm today, lol.

I set my alarm clock for 5am this morning. I reset it for regular time. I need to work on getting up early again. Its tough when your not used to it.

Feeling twinges in my right foot (what''s new) but it doesn't "hurt".
 
Ultimate Calorie Burn and Supercharged Sculpting for me today. I think Nancy is trying to kill us!!! However, I made it through both workouts and just wanted to fall out after UCB. I did most lower body with 20lb's and 15lbs. I'm really feeling a different workout with the heavier weights.

Morning firmies, Upper Body Split this am, DD did get up in the middle of the workout but I was able to get her back to sleep and finish. Lower split tomorrow, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that's the one with all the squats!!!
