Can you believe it's May. Did jiggle free abs and the bonus hip/thigh workout. It was a very Allie morning.
 
Good afternoon all!! I decided to do the firm calendar rotation this morning. Nancy is leading this months workouts. So it was Jiggle free buns and Ultimate calorie blaster. What a way to start off May!!!

BTW, if any of you want the rotation calendar and have the new tape series, then let me know if you want to do the rotation.

I almost skipped my workout this morning because of PMS. But I dragged myself out of the house and ran 3.3 miles.

I always thought it would be interesting to do a rotation, but I'm trying to add running back in this month, so I'd probably have to modify the rotation too much. Do the rotations generally have an overall goal? Like working on your legs? Or improving cardio endurance? Or are they mainly to help people have balance in their workouts?
 
Norma, I guess it can be a combination of all the above. This month is just called Jiggle free. I guess Nancy is trying to firm up up real good. Other rotations are for making your legs more beautiful, improving your upper body and so forth. This is the first ime in months I've decided to follow a roataion and so far I really like the looks of the rest of the month.
 

Nothing today DS woke briefly and I just coulnd't bring myself to do it. It's been productive so far, made the corrections on my "list" for my childcare license, folded laundry even fed the kids.
 
Jiggle free arms and abs today. Nancy really knows how to make you work out!!!

I debated with myself about taking a rest day today because my legs and glutes are a bit sore from yesterday's run. But what fun is that? So I compromised and did Jiggle Free Abs this morning. The great thing about debating with myself is that I always win. :laughing:
 
Norma isn't it great talking to yourself, I'm always so right.

today I did BSS1 with our girl Allie. But this time I upped the weight and used 10 or 8 lbs plus used the taller step when it called for the lower one as I was getting way to used to this tape and this really gave it a whole new spin. Especially when doing those back of the leg exercises at the end.

I did CAWT this morning with my 15 pound weights for the first time. Yikes! :earseek: I was sweating like crazy! A great workout though, but I am so glad it's done!;)

This morning was Jiggle Free Arms and Jiggle Free Buns. I enjoy the workouts, but truly dislike the names.

Wow 15lbs! I was thing of getting one 12lb just to have for some upper body. But that's a few weeks away.
 
Hi. I'm using the old videos like circa 1999 until I can get the new ones and good weights. (:blush: I use ketchup bottles)

I did Day One of 5-Day Abs and 5 minutes of Strong Legs.
 
Hey Tiger Cheer! I live in Ohio too! Love this weather, huh? ;) How do you like the 5 Day Abs video? Is that the one with Tracy James? I think those workouts are more intense than some of the newer ones. ::yes::

s&k's mom~ I originally was going to purchase a pair of 12 pound weights, but my DH convinced me that I would get more mileage out of 15 pound weights. They are tough! I do most of my upper body work with them now and about 1/4 - 1/2 of my lower body work with them. I'm hoping that it will bump up my metabolism a bit more because my scale is stuck on a number that I don't like! :badpc: (insert scale here ;) )

Hello all. Today was a rest day for me. I'm all ready for Allie's tape tomorrow and I'm upping the weights to 17 1/2 apiece for most of my lower body work. I know these new tapes are working because today I went for some clothes and even the size 2's are getting to big. I never dreamed of a zero!!!! My stomach is having the most changes. However, Jiggle free abs has become a staple for almost any workout.
 
Morning all, just completed Max cario burn. I feel so good gettig two long workouts in two days. Boy it really ups the endorphans (ok how the heck to you spell that).

We have lots of newcomers arriving in firm land and I thought maybe we should reintroduce ourselves, would that be ok?

I've been firming for about 5 years (did take a long sabbitacal when pregnant and after). I firm for shape and how it makes me feel. Have two kids and live in Massachusetts. Try to get to WDW every other year. I confess to being a soap opera addict. And yeah a Dis addict.
 
Hello all. I did Allie this morning!!! The whole tape including the add on leg segment. It was a wonderful workout.

Now since we are reintroducing ourselves..... My name is Sheree' and I've been seriously firming since last Feb. I started South Beach in Jan and wanted to find something to really help me lose the weight. I'm happy to say that with firming and SBD, by Oct. of last year I hit my goal and was 55 pounds lighter. I'm still firming as I enjoy it so much. I have added in some other tapes, but the firm is my mainstay.

Good morning darlings (in my best Edna Mode voice). Today was flat blasting cardio from BSS3. I like this one but with the new couch I had to pause alot and move the transfirmer which I use instead of that box. I think this is a very good 30 minute dvd.
 
Today was Ultimate Calorie burn with Stephanie. Plus I threw in Taebo to workout with hubby this morning.

Well, I've done all my BSS4s now, and I'm so glad you all convinced me to get this set! I couldn't be happier with it, and it came at a time when I just needed something to pull me away from Cathe for awhile. I just don't want Cathe Intensity 6 days a week right now--I'm getting sore and achy and a little burned out, and BSS4 is really allowing me to enjoy myself again. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

My fave (surprise, surprise, surprise!) is Allie's ABS! She looks just beautiful, and even ds9 noticed how she's firmed up--her legs are just to die for. :love: I'm also fascinated by all her tattoos. :scratchin

I love the incline work in Stephanie's UCB! I didn't get BSS3, but I understand now why everyone raved about the incline--and the TransFIRMer is just so much more stable than The Deathbox. I was suprised how much I was sweating at the end--I wasn't curled up in the fetal position sobbing uncontrolably like I am on some Cathe days :eek: but I used 3 pounders as was suggested, and I felt the intensity was just right--it can easily be modified up with five pounders and by using the 8" for all step sections. I know on the YaYas and VF it's gotten some mixed reviews, but I really, really loved it and felt worked out but not wiped out at the end. This is just the intensity I'm looking for right now. Flying cleavage and all :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I had a great time! :teeth:

I've said it before--I want to look like Pam when I grow up. I know she's gotten a lot of knocks for how thin she is and also for the addition of a little silicone :) but I find her very positive and soothing and professional. I thought she worked in a lot in such a short time in SCSc. I added on Allie's Jiggle Free Abs (love it--very unique and different!) and got a great toning workout in right under an hour. For the next few months I'm doing my own Ab Blaster rotation (I did no ab work in the almost-year I had my kidney problems because core work seemed to aggravate the kidney pain) so every other day I'm alternating Allie's JFA and Cathe's CoreMax as add-ons to my regular workout. It's only been two weeks and my whole core has really responded well--it's nice to be able to work this area again.

I didn't get Jiggle Free Buns or Arms as I have tons of strength training w/o's, but I've read good things about both. Does Annie lead either of these? I love her upper body and would like to see her lead a w/o--she is ripped!

Once again, I'm so happy to have gotten these. They're a great addition to my vid. collection and it's so nice to really be enjoying The FIRM again. I sooooooo hope GT keeps making TransFIRMer w/o's! And no new gadgets--you guys got it right with this one!

Hey FIRMies,

Tuesday night I did Jiggle Free Arms (just the upper body to stay off my feet some). I've been experimenting adding my 15lb weights the last few workouts and mostly did all of this with the 15lber's (the exercises for heavy weights). Lets just say that because I wasn't doing the cardio and fast forwarding to the next upper body segment my arms weren't getting a rest. After a few segments my arms were like jello. At the end I swear I actually had a hard time just lifting them, lol! I had done two sets of 12 on your toe push ups prior to this (probably not a good thing when using 15lbs and being new at it). I am really impressed at how my push ups on the toes are coming along. I couldn't even do one prior to my injury and really started focusing on doing this. Within a week I could do five and I've been adding 1 each time I do them. Mostly I try to do them every other day on my lifting days to give my muscles time to rebuild. I figured I would be really sore today since my muscles felt like jelly afterwards. The funny thing is, I don''t feel it at all today. I was sore the first few times I experimented with them but since I was able to actually use it almost the entire time this time, I'm just shocked its not sore.

I'm also starting to really try to push my triceps. I heard we should be able to lift even heavier with them than the biceps because its actually a larger muscle. I think it just gets used less. Since really trying to do my tricep dips with focus and really making sure I use heavy weights for triceps I've noticed a difference. Sort of like when you first start donig the FIRM and you first start feeling your muscles get larger. It feels good!

My reintroduction-
I first started FIRMing August of 2003. Then I quit for a few months and started doing it again the end of January 2004. I really saw results with it then and built up my library. Unfortunately in June I hit my WW goal and for somereason I stopped exercising and eating right. I gained 25 pounds and recommitted to eating right and started exercising in December of 2004. I have done 2 1/2 marathons in January & April of 2005 and I could never have done these without the FIRM and WISH. Finishing my first 1/2 marathon really gave me the knowledge that I can do anything I put my mind too. I am vowing to never stop exercising, eating right and loosing that "focus" you get from doing both to better yourself and become healthier. I now have 10lbs to go to reach goal again and I never felt better. Well except for the fact that I am not doing any cardio until I go back to the Dr on Monday for my feet that I hurt during my last marathon. I'm addicted to WISH and going to Disney.

Lisa- You have to get the two add-ons Jiggle Free Buns & Jiggle Free Arms. I LOVE LOVE LOVE both. Pam is awesome in Jiggle free buns and I love Hot cross buns. I keep doing Jiggle Free Arms because I just LOVE it. I read on the FIRM board you can call 1-800 The fIRM and request to order just those two? I'm not sure if that is accurate.

I'm probably going to do Supercharged Sculpting tonight and go light on the lower body.
