Fireworks remixed hints revealed by Stichers

Is the Flawless bonus an immediate thing? Whatever your flawless bonus is affects the points you get as you're getting fireworks. If your bonus is 1x you get normal points, if it's anything higher you get that times normal points? In the case of combos would be get the combo score times the flawless bonus when you get the combo? If the combo is worth 30 points and your bonus is 2X do you get 60 points?

Kind of confusing. I'll try to explain. If you get flawless you get 8 then 12 then 16 then 20 then 24 for each one after that until u get something less than flawless. The bonus is sometimes beter to go for if you have the option of missiong one. Example, you can get 24 for this firework and end the bonus or get the next one and get the 24 plus the 30 bonus. You would want to take the combo just for the extra 6. If it's worth it to you. Bonuses are harder but help more towards the end.

gosh 1st of all i'm glad i'm not the only one up to my ears in frustration of this game. Came pretty close to saying something that would make a sailor blush trying to play the other day.

Thanks for the tips. Do i have this right? We should try to go through the entire game getting flawless or we get points taking away? how very unfair VMK!

If you would have just concentrated on keeping the multiplier up you would have gotten 144 points (6 fireworks at 24 points each)

I'm not getting anywhere near your scores but isn't that correct?

If my math is right you lose 40 points whenever you have to build your multiplier back up instead of getting 24 points continuously. So no bonus worth 40 points or less is worth losing your multiplier over.

Ok not sure how to make this clearer. Keep the multiplyer up the whole game. Missing fireworks will not bring it down. Getting anything below flawless will. So make sure to only try for ones you are sure you can get flawless.

Well actually this is more fair if you think about it. You get to miss a ton of fireworks. I bet about 20% I miss a game on purpose. Most of them at the end. So really this game is more of a strategy, and knowing what you can do personally.

Thanks so much for the tips and advise... I finally figured out the flawless thing the other day and try to stick with that... Didn't know about the space bar tip for explode all so that's great to know.. Couldn't figure out how to get down there quick to do that in the game to click on the button thing!! Though I miss all the great credits I use to get I am getting the hang of this new game and can now get up over 4000 in just playing a little bit each day!

I'm a little confused with the explode all. On Yavn speaks it says you have to choose the right firework (or something like that) Everytime I do hit explode all all i get is ok or oops. Can you explain how to use it?

Yeah, basically, select the firework type that there are most of on the screen when you want to use Explode All. When that particular type of firework turns to stars, hit Explode All and you'll get flawless for them, but OK or oops for fireworks of a different type.

And thanks again for the tips. I haven't memorized them yet so I wasn't able to use all of them, but with the tips I remembered, I improved my score 300 points in one game!

FYI, the combo bonuses went up today.

Previously:

Level 1 stages - 15 points
Level 2 stages - 20 points
Level 3 stages - 30 points
Level 4 stages - 40 points
Level 5 stages - 50 points

Now:

Level 1 stages - 30 points
Level 2 stages - 40 points
Level 3 stages - 60 points
Level 4 stages - 80 points
Level 5 stages - 100 points

This makes combo bonuses more appealing on stage 3 and up.

Thanks so much for the hints. I don't think I'll ever get a handle on this new game, but maybe I felt that way about the original fireworks when I started. I played for the first time last night. I scored around 3400 points, so I ended up with 340 credits. I'm used to getting 1300 credits! What a change this will be.

I really don't think I'll be able to do well on this. It does make sense to miss rather than not get flawless, but it goes against my grain.

Hmm that is weird, I thought they were always like the 'Now' ones. For as long as I can recall I have been doing the old miss a 24 and hit a 24 with 30 bono trick at the beginning. I am pretty sure at least since day 1 or 2. Deffinetly not just today though, can tell because I wrote about that too.

I just wanted to thank you for your tips. Today i got my Green Car magic. I had no idea what you were talking about on the hit all fireworks thing so i just did the good 'ole flawless and it worked perfectly. Thanks again!

I'm still not getting a high enough score to get my Green Car Magic but I did find something that bumped my score up by an average of 500 points.

I thought if I slowed my mouse down I could be more precise and get better scores. So I opened up the mouse settings (Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options) and I slowed it down. I left the mouse settings opened while I played. It didn't work, but I found out that making it faster did help. I kept playing with the mouse settings for the entire game. For me, I played better with the mouse two positions faster than where it had been set.

It might be different for you but it's probably worth one game of fireworks to dial in your mouse speed.

I did this with my mouse two years ago almost when i started playing the original original fire works. I can tell you yo can find a comfortable setting that will improve your movement. Too much of a change at once is very hard to learn the new movements. As a general example on my bosses computer he has the mouse set way fast and when I have to work on his computer I feel like I am drunk when I move it because I always over shoot whatever I wanted to click.

Incidently I did manage to pull off 4500 for my silver pin last night playing with my friend ArwenQueen, I don't know about getting a gold pin playing with my friends several of us were in a game with ArwenQueen and AmberDays - that was a tough heat rightt there.

Alright I did some updates because I have learned some more about the other levels and have started to use more combos.
