Fireworks remixed - any trouble?

I would honestly like all of your opinions...

I have been experiencing a lot of problems with the new game. I have never quit so many games before, and would like to know if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem. There are times when I immediately click on fireworks (expecting a flawless) just as the star begins to appear, and then it's gone in a flash -- before the star even has a chance to turn. It doesn't even give me an awesome, ok, or oops. I don't remember this problem with the old game at all. This is happening so much recently, and it's so frustrating. I am trying to enoy this game, but this problem is not making it easy. Am I the only one?

AmberDaze, I know you are always ahead of me in the game...what would we do if you were NOT having problems?? Good googlymoogly.

I sometimes get a lag, but mostly if my computer is trying to do something else at the same time. Do you have any other applications open?

Also, I think the timing of when the fireworks go out is different than the old game. I know I can barely ever get those "red saturns" before they go away.

I try and close all other programs to see if there is a difference, and there is not.

I've noticed a little difference in the timing, but not much. Although in this game, I totally ignore the light blue icon all the way to the right in the last level - they're gone before I can even think about clicking on them.

This seems to occur on and off. I can be in one game and everyother thing I hit is Awesome when I am sure it should be Flawless. Next game everything might be fine. I can agree with you it is an issue. Just doesn't seem to follow any reason or pattern for accuring.

I am having exactly the same problem. The first game of the day is fine but the more i play the timing is further and further off. I will hit a firework really late and just get an awesome and then i will hit it early and it disappears without giving me anything. so i agree, every game has a little bit different timing. And while you and I notice it and it causes us problems, others are still hitting the over 8,000 mark and seem to be doing just fine with it. Although i have seen them quitting during a game as well. So you are not the only one who has noticed this and i am glad it isn't just me either. LOL

Thanks so much for confirming all that I have been thinking lately. At least I am not the only one. But I still wish that they would do something about it. I just wish it would show when you're actually hitting it as flawless.

I am having a lot of trouble with the new fireworks game. I used to consistently score over 240,000 in the old game but can barely even hit the fireworks now with the additional resources needed for this game. I miss more than half the fireworks on the first level because of the lag!!

Bring back the old fireworks as an option VMK! (Not because of credits, but because of the lesser demand on computer resources!)

With my games, I experience what you're describing, but only when the firework is the very last type (the one that's only available in the last round of the last stage). On the old fireworks, I had that problem, too, but it was with the red "Saturn"-looking firework.

I can vouch for that. And I think this new version works even better on a laptop than the old version did.

I am using a laptop - the new fireworks is just sapping my resources. My laptop is only about 1 1/2 years old - not too bad. Disney needs to take into account that most families can not afford to have the latest, fastest and most memory computers. Often kids are playing on the adult's once back computer. Make the games work on computers up to 5 years back.

I am using a laptop. In fact, I bought it less than a year ago -- and I made sure that it had more than enough resources & more so VMK could run. But with their latest update, all it's doing is zap zap zap...

I also have the same problem with hitting the fireworks. I have left many games because of it. I also notice that it gets worse as I play more games during the same sign on. I have been experimenting by signing off and on and closing my internet explorer and then signing back on. It seems to make a difference when I do this "refresh" routine.

I cannot play fireworks on my laptop. The lag is so bad that I can't hit very many of them.

I am having that problem too! I just assumed it was time of day, amount of people on VMK so lag etc.. They should be flwless and they are awesome, I wait longer because of the awesome and they are gone before I can click. Some games go great hence my high score of 5664, other I can't get over 5000. No rhyme or reason.

I have that same problem with them disappearing before they have even been there or even started to make the star... It's no fun when you are doing really well in the game... And I may I add I have been playing with you several times AmberDaze and you cream me every time

At first I stunk at the old game. Then I started getting better and better. Then after five months of being good at the game they change it!! I was mad and so was my brother awsumgoofy. So I stink at the new game and I usually never play fireworks anymore

Well, I haven't had the problem that you are describing in post#1, but I can assure you that I have yelled at myself/the computer when I've hit an awesome or two or three.

I obviously can't speak for others, but I definitely find myself leaving more games than I used to in the old version (would it be called the Mixed Version?). In Remixed, one or two bad clicks can easily make you 100 points behind. Sometimes I play through it and work out the timing kinks, and other times I just leave game after game. It definitely can be very !
