Fireworks Dessert Party

We have this booked for next week, the Garden View party, can't wait! We've done the Terrace View one, and we did Wishes with a fast pass when it was offfered, so this is a combination of both of those but only the best parts. So happy to see the new show from this area!

Oh please come back and let us know how it is. We're booked for September

Does anyone have pics from the garden view area? I would love to do this with DH when we go end of May. Still have to convince DH it will be worth it, he doesn't like waiting in the crazy crowds.

Where exactly did you view from? How was the view of the castle. I am trying to decide which party to go with and want to get the best view of the castle.
Thanks

The viewing area is at the back of the Hub on the right side, as you look at the castle. The view is pretty much straight on to the castle. The view from the Tomorrowland Terrace is way off to the side and farther away. There's a picture of that view near the top of this thread. For my money, the Hub viewing area is much better.

I just booked this for an upcoming trip. We have done it in the past a few times, prior to the "garden viewing area" situation. We are in the garden view section. Will we be allowed to return to get more desserts once taken out to the area? Or is it locked off or prohibited somehow? Looking forward to this, but just want to be prepared. Thanks for any info!

You aren't taken out to the area until just before the fireworks start. The procedure is to stay and enjoy your desserts, then get escorted to the viewing area 10-15 minutes before the show. If you wanted to go to the viewing area early and then come back to the dessert area, I suppose you could . Your name would be on the list so you could get back in. But I don't really know why someone would do that.

Just did this on 5/1. We were with my dad, who is 89 and in a wheelchair. It was perfect. The timing said to get there by 7:45 but we got there early, around 7:30 I believe and they let us in. As we were with my dad this was a very relaxed, laid back vacation. We got a great spot for the dessert portion of the evening. The desserts were wonderful and also enjoyed all the drinks they were offered, coffee, tea, ice tea, juices. We were escorted over to the Garden section about 20 minutes before Wishes started. The Garden section is almost spot on with the castle so it is a wonderful place to watch the fireworks. It is standing so it was great we were able to bring my dad's wheelchair in there. There were a lot of people sitting on the grass also. We left when Wishes was over as my dad was tired from being in the park most of the day.

My DH and I went back to see Wishes by ourselves on Monday 5/8 and the crowds were so crazy there would be no way we would be able to get my dad in there so I am really glad we did the Dessert Party with him. I would do the party again, even without my dad as it is a very nice relaxing way to spend the evening.

I think this would be wonderful to do with a group of people as everyone can do what they want and then meet up for desserts and then all watch the fireworks together.

This thread is very helpful! We are going to do the dessert party for my daughter's birthday on June 8th. I thought the Plaza view guests did NOT get seats at the dessert party (similar to the Star Wars party where there are only standing tables). Based on that, despite the less ideal view for the fireworks and show, I selected the Terrance because my 5 year old cannot reach those standing tables and the last dessert party we did with her that was only standing was super annoying because she made a total mess trying to hold her stuff. So based on this, if you select the Plaza, you can sit a table while you eat, then you are just escorted to the Plaza right before the fireworks, is that correct? I don't mind sitting on the grass for the fireworks, we did that when it was the FP+ area and it was a great view. I'm now thinking I should switch...

Very helpful thank you, booked this after having done the terrace view at least 10 times and noticed the different viewing area. Psyched to try it out in July,

Yep, your description is accurate! :thumbsup2

I am trying to book this for early November but so far although the dates show it says nothing is available. Have checked for dates in September and October and get the same message. Since some of have booked already for September I am wondering if it could really be full thru November, or if they hold back spots and will release them soon? Any thoughts???

On,y November 2-8 are available to book. Are you trying for one of those dates?

I'm so excited for this. I told DH and he said book it without any hesitation. I booked the garden view for May 30th. It definitely helped that it was cheaper than I thought.

Thanks for all information on here!!

Well I went ahead and booked this for the first week of June. Mostly so that we will have a good spot to view the new show! Glad to know we can go in a little later than the 7:45 stated on the reservation as I had a 7DMTR fast pass previously scheduled for 7:45. So this will mean that we can still do that and get our desserts too!! I also plan on using the 5 minute grace period before the fp window. Thanks for all the info!

I tried booking for early November as well and couldn't find any availability for any dates from Nov. 2-8 for either the terrace or garden view for any party size. Don't know if it is completely booked or just not available yet (even though it shows as available). How far in advance does this usually get booked full?

Yes, and all of them come up as not available.

Ugh. Some dates get booked fast. I'm booked for September. Some dates are booked up and some still have availability.

With all the party nights it's also less opportunity for hea dessert parties.
