Has anyone done this with a 2yr old? Thoughts/ideas welcome!

Three of my kids HATED fireworks at that age, I actually had to leave MK quickly with my 4 year old twins (we have them 4th of July in town, so I’d try every year).

I have not. I want to do Pirates and Pals someday, but I feel like my kids (2 and 4) are too young for a couple of reasons. First, they may be too tired. 2nd, I'm waiting until they are less tentative around characters. I'm sure there are 2 year olds that have done it, but I would think there's too great a chance at it backfiring with a child so young to make it worth the extra cost. Just my opinion. My boys are fine with fireworks, but I know other kids who don't like them. Toddlers are very unpredictable.

Yes, I took my then 2.5yo DD along with her three older brothers. All the kids get treats before the cruise, a small "prize" (older kids answer trivia questions to win their prize, but she was just handed one), and, if they like, the chance to meet a couple of characters. I actually think sitting on a boat with a lower noise level and no crowd pressing around you is a better way to view the fireworks with kids who might not love them. Being on the water is a lovely way to see the Electrical Light Parade, too.
And while you have to pay for yourselves and any older kids, anyone under 36 months is free.
But every kid is different. YMMV
