fireworks cruise tipping

Not sure what board to put this on, so here goes..... How much does one tip the captain of a fireworks cruise. The cruise runs about $250. Do you tip him 20% that seems like a lot. Any ideas?????

We tipped $20 dollars, for both that cruise and an Illuminations cruise, back in '99. I would say may $25, $30 tops. JMO.

I tipped our illuminations cruise captain around 25% of the cost of the cruise, but we had ordered food and wine which he served to us on the boat in addition to doing his usual captain duties.For other chartered cruises I have taken (not at Disney), the normal expected tip is 20%. However, I am sure your captain will appreciate whatever you choose to give.

When we've done fireworks cruises we've tipped 20%. If we were on the Grand One we split the 20% between the Captain and First Mate, usually about 70/30 but once 50/50 because the first mate was so great with our neices and nephew.
