Fireworks at 12:30am?

I am staying at Pop Century this week and we just got in. We were laying down and heard fireworks outside. It's 12:30 and they seem to be coming from Hollywood Studios. Am I right in assuming this is practice for the new Star Wars show?

We were at Coronado Springs last week and heard fireworks late one night as well (after all the parks had closed). We also concluded that it was probably new fireworks from HS that they were testing.

Also staying at all star sports and this was actually terrifying until I figured out what it was. Woke me up from a dead sleep and seemed like they were right outside the room.

I'm at All Star Movies and wondered what that was last night. Thought it sounded like fireworks but was surprised I could here them that late.

Always tests for new. We were at ASSp when they were testing last year so we went outside and watched. Not usually a perfect show as they test for different things, but still fun.

Lol. We were getting ready to leave Fort Wilderness last Monday and I was packing inside so we could load up the car at 3:30 am -when my husband said come outside some nut is blasting star wars music! I told him they must be testing out something over at Hollywood!!

Seeing therm from CS would be lucky. There is a lot of tall tree cover on that side of the studios that may block them. Rumor is they will be around 9:45 in the evening like the current.

You wouldn't have been able to hear SW music at the fort, if you did hear it the. I feel sorry for the other resorts within the 5 miles between the fort and HS...

Yes, I still can't understand the lack of common sense with so many things in this world. First, why would they test them at 12:40 in the morning? Why not test them shortly after park closing so they do not wake people up. Second, if you are going to test, why would you not let guests in the nearby resorts know about it as an added benefit. Hey there will be some extra fireworks being tested tonight for you to see. Something that could be turned into a positive was definitely a negative experience for many of us at the Boardwalk on Thursday night. There were many people down at the front desk asking what was going on as they were not answering the phones about the ongoing noise waking people up.

Since the new fireworks are being shot from a new location, no one knows for sure where they would be in the sky compared to CSR but since the launch is farther outside of DHS, my guess is they will be higher and therefore more visible from other places .. We absolutely watched the DHS fireworks from there and had a good view from the front of the resort. By time you go, you should know.

Not sure about the new ones, but when we were at Coronado last week, we were in Cabanas 8A and had a pretty good view of the current ones when looking across the lake.
