Firework advice

Hey all!

I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on seeing the fireworks(particularly Halloween fireworks). When to arrive, where to stand/sit, secret locations.

I have heard the benches for the train station on Main street are a great place for watching the Wishes fireworks. I would assume since the halloween ones are around the castle as well, this would still be a great spot. It does fill up quickly though!

I like to watch the fireworks at the end of Main Street, in between the photo shop and Coke Corner. During the “Remember” fireworks, there are fireworks that shoot up from around Main Street and you get a really good view from this area. Just my opinion

Just to clarify, "Wishes" is shown at WDW. DL's current fireworks show is "Remember, Dreams Come True" -- which is meant to be seen from the hub, since the castle and the Matterhorn are used in the show. Further back on Main Street will still give you a decent view of the fireworks, but you will have an obscured view of the castle. For "Halloween Screams" the same strategy applies -- best view is from the hub in front of the castle, but you can be further back on Main Street if need be. The train station benches are no longer great viewing for either of these shows since the castle effects cannot be seen well from that distance. If you've seen the shows before though, and just want to catch them again, then it might be fine. But I wouldn't recommend that viewing location to first timers.

You can also enjoy a late dinner or dessert at Plaza Inn and watch them from the outside patio.

If you are to the right of the Partners statue you should be able to see all of the Halloween Fireworks effects. Last year we were able to secure a bench about 30 minutes before the first parade and camped out all the way to the end of the fireworks-that is a long time. The fireworks and the parade were on the top of our list that night so we were ok with that. We had a bench and I could take pics of both the parade and the fireworks with ease.

No, because the "Believe in Holiday Magic" show does not use the castle as a major part of the show like RDCT and HS. You can be further back (even on the benches at the Main Street train station) and still have a good view of the show. I think you can even be by the ROA or at IASW and experience the show, but the Main Street/hub view will be better. Just be sure to be by one of the snow machines if you want to experience DL "snow"!

ETA: check one of the YouTube videos of "Believe in Holiday Magic" 2011 to see if you think that show will be worth camping out for a spot at the hub.

I disagree. The synchronized lighting on the castle that goes with the music, centered with the fireworks - is essential. Not to mention the explosives on the castle during some of the climaxes and the sparkle/spinners.

I haven't seen BIHM since last December, but are you saying that the Christmas fireworks use explosives on the castle and the sparkler pinwheels just like RDCT?? From what I remember, only RDCT (and HS) makes the castle such a pivotal part of the show.
