For some reason the scanners would not work for my mom. The CM's would assume that she was not doing it right. She would then hold up her hand with the peace sign, do the scissors motion and try again. The CM's would come around and look and then wave her through. It got to the point that I would follow Mom in line so I could tell them that she was doing it correctly in order to speed up the line. The family was placing bets on how long it would take for Mom to get through the turnstile. My DH was taking pictures of DM's frustrated face. I was amazed at how quickly the line behind us would turn ugly, making comments about the situation, like we could do anything to help it. We would even warn the folks behind us that it was going to happen. It was that way the entire week.
