I’m Polish and never heard of it until bought it from a local Polish deli (tons of cheese and mushrooms and crispy bread underneath. Grilled I presume). I
I am totally addicted. I buy several at a time and wrap well with Press & Seal and toss in freezer.
Yum.

I wonder if it’s regional? What part of Poland are you from? I’ve eaten them in Krakow and they are exactly as you described. Mushrooms is traditional but I eat them with ham or pepperoni.
